This has proven to be pretty handy. I am mainly using the USB-C PD port to power my Canon R8 and the 8/12V ports to power a field monitor. I generally have it mounted to a camera rig, but have also just set it on the floor using a long cable. It's not too heavy, but it helps balance out the lens. That said, a motorized camera slider might struggle with the extra weight, especially with a midweight lens attached. When I'm not using a rig and my camera is on a tripod, I'll set the battery on my tripod bracing or a nearby table. I've knocked it off of the middle brace of my tripod a few times, and it's held up just fine. I used this to power my camera for several extended video shoots over several hours each, and I had plenty to spare. I don't think I dropped below 50%, and my sessions were going for about 3 or 4 hours. I did run the field monitor on a separate battery for these shoots as I didn't want to risk running out- I probably would have been fine running both off of the battery. Be aware that the 8V and 12V ports have different dimensions to the plugs. The center pin on the 8V is smaller than the 12V. I happened to have plenty of cables for the 8V size, which just so happened to be the same as the cables that I use to power guitar pedals. My field monitor was able to run off of this lower voltage (by drawing a higher current), and the battery was able to power this with no problem. The display is pretty handy, and you can tell if all of the ports are functioning. It displays the active voltage going to each port, which is handy for diagnosing any quirky connections. Overall, it provides plenty of battery power, lots of connections, and is pretty well priced.

I have both the 50Wh and the 99Wh version of this battery. I typically use V Mount when I travel with my larger rig which includes my mirrorless camera, my phone as a video monitor, and a wireless microphone receiver all of which I like to keep charge with a V Mount for extending my shoot times. I choose which battery to take with me based on my anticipated length of session. If I am on the trade show floor all day filming I go for the 99Wh, smaller gigs I bring the 50Wh. Both are TSA friendly for flying so no issues with having to leave gear at the airport checkpoint. These Neewer V mounts are every bit as good if not better than the more common brand names normally associated with V Mount batteries. Build quality is excellent and the OLED screen provides detailed usage stats. For a fully loaded rig I use the D Tap, UBS C and DC power ports at the same time and the OLED provides me real time battery draw and time remaining. If you are looking for a a good V Mount battery at a decent price I can heartily recommend this Neewer series.

I’m really grateful for this as I don’t have to worry about my batteries dying mid shoot. I’ve used it for a 2 hour shoot and haven’t had to charge it yet. It shows that it’s still at 98%. This thing is incredible. One problem I thought I’d have would be blocking the display screen on my Sony A6400 but the battery can fold down so I can see the screen perfectly and it doesn’t feel like it’s in the way. Because it has several power options I’m able to connect both my camera and the external monitor I ended up getting as well. You just need to buy another cord to make sure you can connect everything

Wedding videographer here with a GH5. I was worried that I'd be returning this because it was used and figured by other reviews that it didnt last that long. I found this battery used in mint condition for a great deal so I figured why not.. Yall, it literally lasted me the entire work day! Even with an unusually long ceremony, I had about 16% battery left after the reception and final dance. A 1pm-10pm gig. Given, I was just powering my camera with a dummy battery, using about 20v of power. But even a 50min ceremony, then turning it off between shots at the reception REALLY made this battery last. I plan on getting a monitor, which would probably drain this battery model quicker of course, but by then ill also invest in the bigger 99 battery model and just keep this one as a back up.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I like that the type C is a true PD connection. You can charge this vmount with it or you can power a device with it. I can charge my iPhone 16 at 15v, 1.5amp. That, paired with the full suite of other connections make this a nice one stop battery. However- don’t forget that this is only a low WattHour battery. It will power your whole video rig… but not for a long time.
