I build guitars (mostly for my son). I am in the process of painting a Fender style Percussion Bass. I saw these multiple colour strings and thought it would be something different. These might not be the very best bass strings, but for a starting setup, they should work ok. Also, with the different coloured strings, it is easy to know which string is which. These are standard bass guitar string and should last for a long time. I personally only ever saw 1 time that a bass string broke while on stage. So for starting bass players these strings should be perfect. Hopefully this might help me (total non-musically inclined) to be able to learn. ... show more

Colorful, fun bass guitar strings. Will they improve your playing? Probably not. Are they better than those high-buck flatwounds you've been coveting. Maybe. Are they better and better looking than the 11-year-old round-wounds that are on your bass now? Definitely. These appear to .042 to .080 in size. I'm saving up parts for a custom DIY bass, so these won't be going on anything soon. ... show more
