If you've never used a weighted blanket before, and you're intrigued by the concept, this blanket is a solid choice. Basically, humans have a subconscious need to be "held" while sleeping. This comes from the way we were handled when we were babies by our mothers. It provides a sense of being safe, allowing us to relax deeply to get the solid recuperative sleep we were meant to receive. This blanket will do just that. I use a smartwatch, and my sleep quality went immediately up, from a routine score between 65 to 75, all the way up to 85. No other changes were made, and my REM sleep duration also increased. Make sure your bedroom is as dark as possible, and keep your window open to receive a never ending supply of fresh air. If you do that, combined with this blanket, you will sleep like a bear during hibernation. I have no way to know for sure, but I feel like I also have less anxiety during the day. It might be attributed to this blanket. As far as the blanket itself, it's comfortable and heavy. 5/5 Stars.

My son had been wanting to try a fairly heavy 18-25 lb) weighted blanket. So, the hunt was on. I had two primary concerns: 1). The outer material, it’s softness & how it felt against his skin (both of my kids are very tactile!). 2). The inner weighted material was also a consideration as I preferred glass beads on the inside and smaller sectioned pockets where they are placed. This makes for an even distribution of the beads, therefore: the weight. ••THIS BLANKET FIT MY CRITERIA PLUS, IT HAD GREAT REVIEWS!! It looks very nice on his bed and has no off-putting smell. One small drawback; It’s very heavy so I must take it to a laundromat and use a 4-6 load washing machine just to launder it, strictly due to its weight, esp when it’s wet!! It gets heavy enough that it would likely go off balance or overload even the best non-commercial front / top loaders at home. But, I knew this prior to my purchase. **I will edit this review AFTER washing/drying the weighted blanket to let everyone know how it held up throughout the laundering process.** ICYMI: BC ITS WORTH REPEATING:: ALL OF MY REVIEWS ARE FROM MY VERIFIED ACCT AND I PAY FULL PRICE FOR MY PURCHASES, LIKE EVERY OTHER AMAZON SHOPPER! I've been waking in the middle of the night and tried so many things to help me sleep through the night. I'd wake up at 12AM, 2AM or 3AM and have trouble falling back to sleep. I slept in 4 hour increments on my "lucky" nights. In my first night with this blanket, I woke up as I normally do, but fell back to sleep quickly. When I woke up, I felt more refreshed. I hope as I continue to use this blanket I'll eliminate the middle of the night wakeup completely. Worth every penny instead of taking pills or going to more extreme measures for a sleep. Now, getting the duvet cover. I bought the 15 lb blanket and I'm 142 lbs. I thought I could have gone heavier to 17 or even 20 lbs, but happy with my purchase.

This is my third weighted blanket. The last one I bought I ended up donating because the side that was supposed to be “fuzzy” ended up a matted mess. Lint and dog hair embedded in it and I ended up hating it. After two washes, it was essentially ruined. So I bought this replacement and when I say I could not be happier, I mean it. The minky texture is silky and stays cool without ever getting too hot. You can shake pet hair off of it. It’s incredibly soft. But more importantly, the weight distribution is the absolute best. It’s heavy without making you feel weighed down, if that makes sense. And it holds up beautifully after washing and drying it. I honestly can’t sleep without it now. Highly recommend. If you’re on the fence, get it. You won’t regret it!

Ok, first off, I do love this blanket and I think it's very important to get the one that's safe for your body weight and health. Please read the medical information regarding those with heart issues, poor circulation etc. You shouldn't buy one if you have these medical issues. If you only weigh 120 pounds soaking wet, then buying a 75 pound blanket is going to destroy you!!! So, buy for your body size. This blanket feels amazing wrapped around you. The glass beads inside, you can't feel or hear so that's nice! When washing it, you will be able to use a dryer but remember that this blanket, when it's wet, feels like your carrying a house! It's nice and warm and my hubby and I just survived the ice storm in Oregon and all i needed on my side of the bed is this blanket. And we live in a travel trailer as well! All in all, I think anyone who wants to get a better night's sleep and feel rested the next day, should get one of these snuggly blankets! Thanks for reading! I hope this helps you!!
