These bar stools look fantastic. They match our living room and kitchen PERFECTLY!! They took less than 20 minutes to set up. The assembly was really straight forward and simple. Surprisingly they're pretty light weight and feel moderately sturdy. The base feels pretty light weight and pretty sturdy. It holds the chairs perfectly well and doesn't scratch up the floors as we move the bar stools around. The base can lift up off the floor if you go to move the barstool while seated in it. That being said it's not the easiest thing to move the chairs while being seated in them because they don't really slide well once seated in but, that's a really minor thing that doesn't impact the functionality of these bar stools at all. The gas lift works flawlessly. It raises and drops with convenient ease. When the chairs are lifted all the way up the bottom of the chair sits between 30 inches. When the gas lift is all the way down the chairs sit around 20 inches (roughly; it's hard to get precise measurement due to the concave shape of the chair bottom). The foot rest is perfectly situated and very comfortable for resting my feet. The chair itself has a really soft and cozy lining to it. The chair lining is pseudo leather but, it feels like a really soft microfiber leather. I also like the really nice accent stitching all around the chairs as well. Another nice little feature about these bar stools is that they actually have a little half chair back to them too. Overall these bar stools are FANTASTIC! I can't rave enough about them because they're well made, comfortable and look phenomenal at our island bar. I'm very impressed with theses bar stools and would happily recommend them!
