Can the refrigerator be placed outdoors? The fridge is intended for indoor use. Please do not move the refrigerator outdoors or use it on bumpy vehicles. Additionally, leave a 10-inch clearance on the back and sides of the refrigerator to allow for proper ventilation and heat dissipation. After receiving the product, how long should I wait before plugging in the refrigerator for use? After receiving the product, please make sure to place the refrigerator upright for 12 hours before plugging it in for use. Is it a manual defrosting refrigerator? We provide a defrosting tool for customers, recommended every 3 months or when frost reaches 0.25 inches. Before defrosting, please remove items and turn the temperature to 0. Please see page 6 of the manual for detailed steps. Doesn’t cool? Please check if there is any liquid leakage / if (the refrigerator) is turned on / what the temperature reading is / if the ambient temperature is extreme.

We recently upgraded to the BANGSON Compact Refrigerator for our upstairs loft, and it’s been a fantastic addition! With a total capacity of 7.1 cu ft (5.45 cu ft for the fridge and 1.65 cu ft for the freezer), it’s the perfect size for extra storage in small spaces without feeling cramped. What We Love: Spacious and Practical Design: The fridge and freezer have plenty of room for everything we need. The freezer is especially impressive—it freezes ice in the included tray in less than an hour, which has been super convenient. Sleek Black Finish: The black exterior looks great and gives the space a modern feel. Sure, it shows fingerprints occasionally, but it’s nothing a quick wipe can’t fix. Flexible Door Configuration: We appreciated the reversible door feature since it made placement easier. Switching the door direction took a little more time and effort than expected, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. Quiet and Efficient: It runs so quietly that we barely notice it’s there, and it doesn’t seem to use much power, which is always a plus. A Few Minor Quirks: The black finish, while stunning, does tend to show smudges. Not a huge deal, but worth noting. Changing the door’s opening direction was a bit tricky—not a huge deal but just be prepared to spend some time on it if you need to reverse. Final Thoughts: We’re thrilled with this refrigerator! This Bangson 7.1 cu ft model is really impressive. Even in ambient temps well above 100F this fridge will keep food as cold as You like. Currently I have it set around 34F to 38F in 110F ambient, which is just shy of #4 on the Temperature Control Dial, & it maintains that with ease. At my current setting the Freezer ranges between -8F & -14F. It's 55.5" tall & 21" square. It's so quiet it's hard to tell when it's on unless You put an ear to it. It's about as loud as a very quiet Aquarium bubbler, & uses 100 watts @120 volts, which is perfect for RV & Off-Grid. It took less than 24 hours to stabilize & fully chill down, which is quite amazing for the temps it's surrounded by. This is a really well made fridge, & if it performs this well for the next 5 years or more I'll feel the price was well worth it. No other brand in this size category comes anywhere close to the value of the 7.1 Bangson. I don't think there's a better brand in this category anywhere, I will definitely purchase another one just to have a replacement when & if this one fails, & I will certainly update this review if anything worth noting occurs, cheers! *Update 9 months in an RV, runs 24-7 like clock, I have had no problems with this unit!

Update: The noise is getting worse and more consistent. At this point, it is intolerable and I may be looking at getting rid of it. No one could handle this level of noise for any length of time. Very disappointed in this purchase. Wish I would have bought at a local store so I could return it. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND The size is nice and having the freezer drawers in the bottom is much more convenient than a tiny freezer on top. I cannot really recommend this unit though because of the horrific buzzing noise that seems to come from a very cheap plastic condensation pan in the back. It started right away when I plugged the unit in but went away once I leveled the unit. Then, after a few weeks of owning, it began doing it again. I have to bump it or move the unit slightly to get it to stop, but it will inevitably start again. It is quite loud and so I do not think this would be a good unit in a space where people would be present often. Horrific for an apartment or dorm type room. I wanted to like it, but the noise is absolutely horrible to deal with.

This refrigerator is a great size for a small office, apartment, or other space where you don’t need a full-size refrigerator. It has a nice, simple design and works well for everyday use. Mine arrived in great condition with no cosmetic defects, dings, or dents. I’ve noticed that many of the reviews mention the same thing, especially with the red color—it seems to arrive looking really nice without the dents and damage that can sometimes happen during shipping. The only downside is that it’s a little louder than I expected, especially when the compressor kicks on. However, it’s not a dealbreaker for me. Overall, it’s a nice refrigerator, especially for the size and price, and I’m happy with it.

Had some trouble receiving the first order but the seller definitely resched the item to me which was absolutely wonderful without hassle. I could not recommend them enough and they're above and beyond great. The fridge has excellent room for everything that I need and is absolutely wonderful.

I did experience a few issues, thus my rating. First the box was damaged, a little bit, mostly on the bottom. Second, there was a dent in the freezer on the left edge and a dent on the right edge and back of the refrigerator. They were both small, but nevertheless, they’re there. The biggest problem, is there is a 10° difference between the top shelf and the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Bottom shelf is 36°, and top shelf is 46°. Very disappointing, as I was hoping that the refrigerate would have more or less the same temperature on the top shelf, maybe three or 4° difference. Seller did refund me $30, which really just covered the taxes of the refrigerator. There are a lot of really good reviews on this refrigerator, and not sure why that is. But my experience was not top-notch, but the good side is the bottom shelf is very cold and I do like that and the freezer works well. Also, one of the most important things is the glass shelves. It is a pain to defrost the refrigerator, but I couldn’t find one that size that was auto defrost.

I couldn’t be happier with both this refrigerator and the incredible customer service from Bangson. We use this refrigerator in our outdoor kitchen, and it has been fantastic. Unfortunately, we had an unexpected visitor, a black bear decided to knock the fridge over and tried its best to break into it! Amazingly, the refrigerator held up incredibly well. It was much sturdier than I expected, and the bear wasn’t able to get inside. While the hard fall ultimately damaged it beyond repair, I was genuinely impressed with how solidly it was built. What impressed me even more was Bangson’s customer service. They were kind, friendly, understanding, and truly cared about helping me. Every conversation felt genuine, and they worked with me to get a replacement refrigerator sent out quickly. It’s refreshing to do business with a company that stands behind its products and treats customers with such kindness and respect. I’m incredibly grateful for businesses like Bangson and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from them again. Thank you for turning an unfortunate bear encounter into such a positive customer service experience!

Freezer door will not stay shut. Had to get a childproof lock to keep it closed, which broke from the pressure of keeping it shut. Freezer temp fluctuates, which means my stuff stays half frozen, half melted. And, the ice build up in the freezer is ridiculous. I have to chip off the ice daily, it gets so bad that I cannot shut the drawers. (Even at a setting of 2 or 3.) Fridge door can be really difficult to open; the amount of force required most times will cause things to fall off the door shelves. My advice: avoid at all cost.
