I love this heater! We've only been using it a week but are very dependent on it. Our family room windows are on the northbside where the cold air from a mountain seems to drom down directly in through our windows. This unit takes that nip out of the room. We actually had to drop our thermostate a few degrees. No noise, no fan, radient heat is just perfect! The remote works for us but the controller is right on top and easily accessible in case the remote ever stoos working. We've kept ours on 70 ever since we received it. Not sure how hot the back may be but there is a plastic handle on the back top which you can easily lift. You can roll it back and forth on the base wheels as well. I love the sleek modern design.

Update2: The seller had the manufacturer thoroughly test the heater and it was only the initial plug in that caused it to be on the highest setting and highest wattage. It does have a memory setting that works after a long power outage(I had it on low wattage at 70degrees. It came on to that setting after about 16hrs). I will keep since the cord doesn’t get hot like the original I bought, and there are more safety features. The remote is better too. And the seller was fantastic! ——————— Original review: Turns on when you plug it in - highest temp, highest wattage. Maybe I got a defective but the seller said that would not happen. Returning. I will say the tip over safety works. I unpackaged and plugged it in. Thrilled it didn’t turn on but realized I had it leaning a little. Straightened it and it turned on high heat immediately without touching any buttons. Unplugged immediately. I have a previous generation w/out WiFi/app support and it does the same thing. During power outages, this heater turns on automatically when the power comes back at highest heat and wattage. This was supposed to replace that fire hazard heater but it does the same thing so it will be returned. Didn’t leave it on long enough to see if the plug in part gets really hot like the one I have either. Didn’t bother to test the app. It’s a real bummer since I do really like this heater; keeps my room warm. But in my small room, in an older mobile home, not worth the fire hazard risk. Update: seller did respond, confirmed with manufacturer, and clarify initial plug in is the only time it will automatically turn on. After a power outage it will not do that. I tried plugging it again after being unplugged overnight. It turned on automatically, high heat, high wattage. It did stay off after unplugged for five min. So after an extended power outage, it may do a hard reset and automatically turned on. I may not return it depending on how long the hard reset time is. We get power outages that can last 4-8hours and I don’t want a heater that resets to high wattage, high heat.

Definitely heats up. The back side is a metal plate, not perforated like the front. Both sides heat up. I would be very careful with where you place this appliance considering it gets very hot, like burn your hand hot. Sadly, the remote did not work upon arrival. Tried numerous times to get it to connect. No luck. Luckily, the control panel works and so does the Ballu mobile app on Android. Not giving 5-stars due to the following: 1) Hot backside. Will it burn something on the backside that I can't see? 2) Control panel is located on top. It appears to be insulated (not hot to the touch), but considering the heat this device produces, will it eventually overheat/melt? 3) Faulty remote upon revival However, it does the job I bought it for - heats up my house. So, points given for that.

Came well packaged, exactly as described. Lightweight and can used in its wheels or mounted on wall. It's perfect in my 14x16 craft shed and (so far) it has been keeping shed warm. Love the remote control and it self lowers the heater once desired temperature is reached. I am very happy with this heater.

Got for basement room. No carpet and down right cold in winter. Room is 15ft x 20ft. Concrete floor but insulated walls. Basement has Central air but not in this space. Heated area from 60' to comfortable 75' then shut off in 25 minutes. Tried ceramic heater, all it did was run nonstop driving electric bill higher and higher while the space was just shy of comfortable.

When I got this unit I thought it heated up fast as the case got hot. I have used it for 2 days and I have it 5 feet from my desk and I am still cold. Read all instructions and still it does not seem to work well. I wan to like it, but this is a waist of time and electricity

Buy before they are gone! If you want comfortable heat that's not blowing at you as if it want's to blow you away and the noise that goes with my previous heater, this is it. If you want a heater that his quiet and functional this is it. if you want a heater that's got style and can very easily move around due to the light weight. this is it. If you want a heater that covers a wide area this is it. It also comes with a cover for when you want to store it after the cold weather. I don't know what else you would need a heater but what ever it is this heater will work for you. I purchased two, got one for bedroom and the other for living room area. It also comes with as mall remote and the buttons on the heater are quite responsive. Please buy yours before the price goes up. I am just blown away by the slick look and the other features and hope the company will continue to make it. Thank you for this wonderful product!
