  • Works great, but not without issues.
Overall its a great value and combined with Autozones OEMTOOLS Ball and U joint press set SKU # 557231 that I rented for free it got the job done. I used it to replace the existing ball joints on my 2017 Jeep JK Rubicon. A couple of things to note that has been somewhat mentioned in other reviews. The cup for removal is just a little bit too short to allow for the lower ball joints to come out if the tapered shaft is sitting straight. This can be easily fixed by turning the tapered shaft to a side so it doesn't sit straight. That allows the Ball Joint to come out all the way. Some are complaining that one of the install cups is too large in diameter and will become conical when used. I believe this is only an issue with some aftermarket Ball Joints like Teraflex HD that I also installed. The top on those has a taper, so the cup did strecth at the bottom, but I was still able to fully seat the new ball joints. Overall great value. ... show more

  • What you need for a Jeep XJ ball joint install!
So hopefully this helps someone. Used to install on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ. You HAVE to make sure you understand how this works. The cap has a notch on the lip that you will need to make sure is facing out. This will give you the correct angle for pressing these in. Also, take time and watch the angle your joints are going in. Don't hesitate to back off a little and reset the cups/caps. As ball joints take pressure to get in, it should not the strength of Thor to get them out or in. You can easily be putting pressure on the wrong points and end up screwing up the install. ... show more

  • Jeep Cherokee XJ 1999 Fitting
These are the adapters you need for Jeep Cherokee XJ. I was trying for 3 days before I realized I did need to order this. The small piece is angled and you need it to install the lower ball joint forsure. Installed the lower ball joint in less than 5 minutes. Great job with these parts

  • Worked great for my 09 wrangler unlimited
I struggled using a regular ball joint press with the adapters they come with on one side of my jeep, so I bought this and it cut install time easily in half for me

  • Does the job
Does exactly what I need it to do, doesn't need to be flashy pulling and installing a ball joint. Just need to do the job and that's it
