I didn't hate this chair. The fabric is similar to a silvery crushed velvet, where the variation in colors give it depth. The sewn-in pillows, wide seat and curved back rest are truly inviting and beautiful in design. The chair comes mostly assembled: screw-in the legs, flip it over and you have a beautifully designed, sturdy chair. If you are an active household that lives in their home, this chair is just not practical. It's not a sit and watch television chair. It's not even a sit and read the newspaper chair. It's not even an invite-friends-over for dinner chair. The lack of arms on the chair make it awkward to sit for any period of time. This chair is gorgeous! It came pretty much assembled all I had to do was screw on the legs so it took less than 5 mins. As a result the delivery box was enormous but well worth the ease in my opinion. I bought this for a semi low profile desk and it fits under perfectly. Super comfy to sit in, material is kind of like a cross between tweed and velvet. Really nice and soft but feels like it’ll hold up well. Looks great in the room. Whats not to love? ... show more

I love this chair! It's soft comfy, easy to clean, I love the pillows attached and the base is a single, sturdy iron piece. No wobbly legs. It just sits there being strong and perfectly shaped.

This Ball & Cast Accent Chair is attractive and does make a good accent chair. It is easy to assemble; just a few bolts, and has a lot to commend it. However, I would not say it is a particularly comfortable chair. As an accent it is an excellent chair for staging for real estate photography. I love the sheen on it. It feels mid century in appearance. This chair will work fine if you are sitting for short periods of time but it is not comfortable enough for sitting for prolonged periods of time. It seems sturdy and well built but I think it is more for looks than utility. It doesn't have a place to relax your arms so most likely guests won't sit in it very long. ... show more

I really like this chair. The legs and the entire underside is thick steel. The frame of the bucket or chair is thick wood. There is not bend or give to the chair frame. The chair cushion and cloth material is a weave of the same color material. The bidirectional weave gives the chair a nice texture and allows the the already water wicking material to wick water better. Although the material is lighter in color, it is surprisingly resistant to staining. The cushions are attached to one another and the bottom cushion attaches to the base with Velcro. Typically I do not like attached pillows, but in this case it was done well. The box is large with plenty of padding inside. Item is assembled with base and chair by 4 bolts. No other assembly required. This is one of the best boxed chairs I have ever used from assembly to sitting. I would recommend. ... show more

This chair is much more comfortable than I thought it would be. I ordered it because I thought it would be a pretty accent chair for my reading room, but I’ve found myself sitting in it to read almost every day. It was about as easy to assemble as a chair can be. The fabric is soft, durable and cleans easily. The chair angles back slightly, which is stylish but would probably be uncomfortable after awhile if it weren’t for the cushions. The lumbar pillow is everything. It’s perfectly placed to provide support to the part of your back that would get stiff and is really what makes the chair so relaxing to sit in. The seat cushion is nice too and attaches to the chair with some seriously strong Velcro. This is my second piece of furniture from this brand and I’m a huge fan. ... show more

This was super easy to assemble and it’s nice and sturdy. I like the wing back do I can spread my arms and just lean back to get super comfy. All you do is screw in some bolts to attach the bottom piece (legs) to the seat piece. The legs are all one piece. The material looks and feels great.
