Okay, I didn't buy these speakers for their intended use, so I can't attest to how they work as actual helmet speakers. When I was a kid I had this flat speaker that went in my pillow so I could listen to music as I fell asleep, without anyone else hearing it. As someone who's suffered from insomnia throughout my life music has often played an important part in helping me to relax. I also have suffered from tinnitus for as long as I can remember. In the last year or so my tinnitus has changed and become worse, at times becoming so loud as to cause a panic attack. Needless to say this has added to my insomnia. So I decided to turn to my old friend, music. Unfortunately, I have a problem when it comes to music at bedtime these days. Her name is Nora, and she doesn't really like the TV or music on after a certain hour. I remembered that speaker from my childhood and started to search for a similar one. What I found disappointed me. I thought given I'm now 50 years old, and the advances in technology over the years since my childhood, I'd have no problem finding an acceptable pillow speaker. I couldn't have been more wrong. Somehow pillow speakers got thicker and were now more noticeable under my pillow. Adding to this issue is the fact that, due to my oxygen use, I sleep in an adjustable bed in an upright position. For some reason Nora doesn't object to this. Because of this these new bulkier pillow speakers tend to drop in my pillow so they sit on my shoulder, and I find this to be uncomfortable. The more lightweight speakers have less than desirable audio. I found myself telling Nora she was just going to have to get used to music playing when we went to bed. She really wasn't happy about this, and made her displeasure known almost nightly. It started to create a real issue between us. Since I love Nora with all my heart I told her I'd try to again to find a more personal solution. So back to the search I went. This time I decided to look at bluetooth speakers, because as well as being bulkier than what I was looking for, the previous pillow speakers I'd tried were all corded. The cords provided their own issue as Nora doesn't like them. Well, that's not *quite* true. I'm not sure whether Nora actually *likes* cords, or just finds them appetizing, because she likes to chew on them. Have I mentioned that Nora is my nearly six year old fur baby? No? I may have forgotten, because Nora doesn't seem to understand that she is a cat and not a human, who's in charge of the house. Anyway, the search had now switched to bluetooth pillow speakers. Again, I wasn't finding anything I found to be acceptable. Most bluetooth speakers in this category were, again, either bulkier than I required, or simply didn't hold a charge long enough. The problem here is I normally leave the music going until I actually fall asleep. The speaker then remains on until I get up in the morning. At best I would get two or three days before they would need recharging. Now I'm definitely an out of the box thinker, and have raised my son to also be. So at some point my son comes to me and suggests motorcycle helmet speakers. Due to where they are placed they tend to be lighter weight and on the thinner side, as well as bluetooth. So after a bit of research we settled on these. I decided not to get my hopes up, especially because I was trying to use them in an unintended way. When they arrived a quick try passed them enough to allow for a few nights use to really test them out. I fully charged them and prepared for operation sleep. To get them to stay in the area of where my ears would be I pinned the connecting wire in two places, allowing the actual speaker to drop from the pinned spot. I wasn't thrilled with this, but it would work enough for testing purposes. After one night I was thrilled to have found something I thought could work long term. There were only two questions. How long would the charge last, and how to place them in the pillow without using safety pins? Question one took a minute to ascertain the answer. At the end of the first week I hadn't needed to charge them at all.. If all they lasted was a week I could be happy with that. I decided to hold my review until I could include how long the charge actually lasted. I'm very pleased to say that a full charge lasted THIRTY THREE DAYS. Frankly, I'm astounded by this. The speakers go into standby mode when there's no music after a certain amount of time. This standby mode is so low powered that there is virtually no battery consumption during this time. Only having to charge once a month is MORE THAN fine by me! So now I was only left with speaker placement. I also wanted something that wouldn't be too difficult when it comes to needing to remove the speakers for charging. I came up with this idea long before they actually needed to be charged. I decided to create pockets. I marked the exact place where I wanted the speakers, and then made two small pockets from spare material from the flat sheets, which I don't use, from my sheet set. I then hand sewed the pockets to my pillows, leave one corner open so the controller could slide through. Keeping the controller on the open side of the pillowcase allows for me to just reach up and control volume or playlist by simply feeling for the correct button. Because the speakers themselves have the hook portion of velcro on them I decided to attach a small piece of corresponding velcro on the inside of the pockets, just for added protection that the won't slip out when I sling my pillow out from behind my head in the morning. I was incredibly happy with this solution. I've included pictures of the speakers in their pillow pockets. My pillow may look well worn, but it is clean. As for the sound quality of these little speakers, I find it acceptable for my needs. I do find that for some of my tracks the volume needs to be near the max output for the speakers. But remember, these are supposed to be placed in a helmet, which would put them basically on your ear. I don't think they'd need to be up that much for their intended use. And for many of my tracks they don't need to be up to the max output. I'm currently working on internal song adjustments to try and get all my tracks to an equal output level. They're small speakers, so you're not going to get any booming bass from them, but the audio coming from them is crisp and clear, without any artifact noise, even though I'm listening to them through a pillow. All in all I am extremely pleased with my purchase, and I would definitely buy them again if these were ever to need replacing, as long as they last a reasonable amount of time. I'd definitely recommend these speakers to anyone looking for a pair of low profile pillow speakers. While I cannot attest to their intended use, I'd still recommend them as helmet speakers as well. If they work for what I'm using them for I can't see why they wouldn't work in their intended usage.

Pros. For the price compared to other headsets this is an awesome deal can’t beat it. It’s super easy to connect. I haven’t used it for more than an hour so I don’t know how long the battery last but I haven’t had any issues dying on me. I ride a Harley Davidson with aftermarket Vince and Hines loud pipes, at first when I put the speakers in my helmet and I went for a ride I couldn’t really hear them over the pipes once I started moving fast and I was ready to return them and I was already looking for another headset but I thought I would give it another try and see if I could adjust the speakers in the helmet to make them a little louder which I did and by just moving the speakers around a little bit I hear them fine now but it may not work in every helmet but I don’t see why it wouldn’t . Cons . So like I said before with some adjustments in your helmet you can hear them fine and super loud which I don’t think you should have them super loud to be honest with you I don’t think it’s safe I like to be at a level where I can still hear what’s going on but also hear my music well. Yes I pretty much have them at full blast or one notch below full blast and it’s loud enough now the sound quality isn’t super good but honestly I think it’s pretty good I listen to a lot of hip-hop and metal and the base is all right it could be better probably if you paid $200 for a better headset you’ll get better sound but like I said before you really want to completely not hear anything on the road just your music ? For me no. I don’t like the fact that once you have the speakers and the microphone all set up in your helmet in order to charge it you have to run a cable into your helmet to the microphone. It would just be more convenient if it was easier to take out and just set it by the charger but it’s not a huge deal. Also when you’re charging it it doesn’t seem to have any way of telling you when it’s fully charged or even if you’re charging. When you plug in the charging cable it doesn’t make any sound I don’t see any light coming on indicating your connected to a charger you just gotta hope that it’s working and it charges and when you’re ready to ride it’s fully charged which I haven’t had a problem with. Overall for the money I think it’s pretty damn good I enjoy it I can hear it loud enough with some adjustments in my helmet over my loud pipes. I find myself rocking out while I’m riding my bike which indicates to me that I’m enjoying it and having a good time so that’s what matters .hope this helps

Just got the headset and put it in my full face modular helmet. Super easy installation, took 5 minutes cause I took my time since I read reviews saying it breaks easy. Fully charged outta the box and sounds better than I expected for a cheap headset. Product guarantee sounds like they’ll back they’re product. I haven’t taken a ride on the ol scoot scoot just yet so not sure how they’ll be on the road but I’m betting they’ll be just fine. I doubt they would work for a half shell though. I’ll come back and update this when I ride a bit with them. Stoked to have a good sound system for a great price! Update: have been riding with this for a bit now and still love it. I have it connected to my Zumo and my phone simultaneously. One caveat is spoken directions don’t work when playing music so if you need to hear your turn by turn nav then turn the music off. Also, I found that if you rely on google maps in your pocket you won’t be able to hear the instructions at highway speeds (65mph+). Same goes for taking on the phone. You can hear and be heard around town speeds but get on a faster stretch of road and you might as well hang up. I did use it as an intercom by calling my daughter who was on the back of the bike with her AirPods in and we were talking to each other (both wearing full face helmets) just fine while cruising around town. Again, spoken directions don’t work while on the phone. Honestly though I was surprised it even hooked up to both my phone and the Garmin at the same time so that’s super convenient. I’ve never had Sena or equivalent higher end comm systems so I can’t give an accurate comparison but for ~$25 this system is dope. It’s loud enough to jam music at all speeds including highway (in a full face). The sound is better than expected for a cheap unit and so far I’ve had no issues at all. I would highly recommend. However, if you wear a half shell or open face helmet I would look somewhere else. You might be okay in the city but any speed or wind noise at all from the lack of a face shield would distort the sound enough to make it useless. Anyway, this is probably the longest review I’ve ever left for anything under $30. Bottom line: hit the buy button and you’ll be decently surprised.

What stood out to me as I first opened the package was the size of the speakers. They are quite robust, and feel sturdy, although I've felt the need to be extra gentle with the flimsy cable that connects them. I immediately connected my phone and held the speakers to where I'd like them to sit on my ear when they're in my helmet, to test the sound quality. And I was pleasantly surprised! I'd say the sound quality (when stationary) is comparable to, but slightly less clear than, my airpods. I was initially pretty impressed with the quality relative to the price, so I went ahead and installed them in my helmet, a Scorpion EXO 320. The EXO 320 has rather deep speaker pockets. The location of these pockets, however, put the speakers closer to my temples than my ear holes, so I ended up having to wedge the speakers further down, closer to the beginnings of my neck straps. With the speakers properly positioned over my ears, the audio quality was very impressive at idle. As you accelerate and get above 35mph, it starts to sound just about as bad as any other non-noise-cancelling earbuds you could wear under your helmet. Keep in mind I ride a VERY quiet bike, so this was all from wind noise. I went on a four and a half hour ride with the headset today, and it was enough to change my opinion on them. They are way too thick, at about three quarter inches, putting constant painful pressure on my ears while also delivering subpar audio quality at any decent speed. As much as I really wanted to like these speakers (and not have to drop $100+ on a Cardo), I will most likely be returning these and doing just that. TLDR; Too thick even with speaker pockets built into the helmet, painful to wear for longer than 20ish minutes, audio quality gets pretty rough at anything greater than 35mph.

Decided to take a chance, and so far I'm mostly happy with it. If you ride a moped/scooter, probably a good pick. Can't speak for freeway speeds on a motorcycle. I haven't tried pairing 2 phones to the headset, so no idea if it works or not. Pros: Sound quality is decent. They don't sound great, but for the price, I didn't expect them to. There's enough volume to where I don't have it turned all the way up on my phone. No problems hearing it over wind noise, even at 35-40mph on busy streets. Call quality is pretty good, no problems hearing or being heard, and neither of us had to speak loudly. Tested it stationary and at 35-40mph on busy streets. No problems with the call. UPDATE: After more riding in different direction winds, sometimes it does get a bit difficult for the other person to hear/understand. Still very workable, not a huge inconvenience. Don't have to switch from call to music. Once the call ends, the music will start up again after a second or two. It's pretty easy to install. I haven't tried to take it back out, so I'm not sure how easy it would be to do that or put it back in. It hasn't had any problems staying in so far, and I've put on/taken off my helmet quite a few times since I installed the system. The seller has been communicative when I asked about issues I had. UPDATE: Seller is very good with communication. After letting me know they were sending a new unit, they checked up to see if I had received it yet. I had not, so they double checked where it was, and I got it a couple days later. With most questions I had, I didn't have to wait more than a few hours, and the longest wait was a day and a half. I'm VERY impressed with their customer service and responsiveness. Cons: The manual is wrong about a couple things: 1.) The manual says it will show up on Bluetooth as "Helmet headphone", but it shows up as "BT30". 2.) The manual says the blue light will come on when it's fully charged, but the seller said that the red light will just go off when it's full. I have not been able to get the automatic call answer to work. I've contacted the seller and followed the instructions they gave me, and it still doesn't work. If this feature worked, I would give it 5 stars. But this a major feature to not have work. UPDATE: Seller sent out a new unit. Auto call answering is working, though it still does not announce the number. I can live without having the number announced, now I can take calls without having to stop and call the person back. Note: make sure you check your phone settings, you may have auto-answer disabled. There is a button on the mic boom that you can press, but you probably won't be able to press it while riding if you're wearing a full face or modular helmet and/or gloves. It does work to answer the call, though. UPDATE: Overall, I am very satisfied with the unit, so far. The only thing that hasn't worked for me is the number announcement. It's not the best quality, but I didn't expect that with the price point. I believe the unit is a good value, and the customer service is very good, too.

Product has a long lasting battery and I can listen to music with it no problem, but it literally cannot be used for phone calls. The sound of the motor plus the wind makes it impossible for the other party to hear you unless you scream into the mic, but even then it's a 50/50 chance that the caller on the other end won't be able to make out words from the sound of you trying to yell. I emailed the vendor as recommended by Amazon for technical support on April 9th to see if they can assist me with the product but they have yet to respond to me as of today, May 05th 2025. I sent another email, but I don't have much hopes. So yeah, ever since I received the product, after fully charging it, I've been using it for more than a month as constantly as I can and Ive only dwindled the battery down to 70% which is impressive. As well as the audio, its great enough for cheap headphones. My helmet has recesses near each ear which is too deep to hear anything if I put the earphones inside them so I had to stuff each hole with fleece so I can stick each ear phone on top of it to get them closer to my ear so I don't have to blast the volume and hear the bass and the treble top out. It's janky, but it works this way and I can adjust the volume comfortably. Turning the unit on and off has an automatic start up audio saying "power on" and "power off", which is fine as long as you are not wearing the unit when you turn it on because it will be ear piercingly loud. I'm not sure if the sound is relevant to the audio level you adjust it to, but it's kind of impractical to have to remember to lower the volume after every use so you don't blast your ear drums when you next wear the damn thing. But the call quality is so horrendous, you might as well avoid using it. If anyone knows of a work around for the microphone, I'll gladly accept it. But for now, because I faithfully waited for the company to reply before putting in a return request, I'm now past my return window and I'm stuck with it now. At least it wasn't expensive.

Right out of the box, I love it! It’s loud and clear. Assembling is a breeze, no much to say there, just make sure you place the speakers on the right spot in your helmet, so your ears can capture the songs/calls properly. Same with the mic. I ride an yamaha fz8, it’s a 4 in line 800cc with aftermarket exhaust tip. It’s loud my man, trust me! Music wise, you can’t complain at all! It’s loud dude, the faster you go, the louder you have to set the volume (no secret there) remember the bike I told you I ride and I’m not complaining at all. You can go faster and still enjoy music, it’ll depend of the revs as well, 12.000 revs on a loud bike makes everything tricky to listen around you, but if you crank the volume on this set up, you still can hear some of it. (Remember my bike). Voice call wise, it sound just like every other over the ear headphone, I just get good crisp quality (not amazing) on my AirPods Pro 2. So don’t expect that, it’ll sound just like ever did before the AirPods. Mic works just fine, no complains on the other side as well. So it works as good as it should for calls. Also remember, you’re riding a motorcycle, all the wind and noise, its crazy outside when you’re riding, be reasonable while judging a pair of HELMET speakers, sometimes seems like ppl are expecting a car audio set up in a helmet 🤦🏼♂️ Battery, it came with 90% of it, I test it, I rode with it for prob 1 1/2 hour and no battery drop, it still on 90. Time will tell, but I’m happy with it so far. To me is a 10 out of 10 I’m really happy with it and going to buy another pair for my GF, so she can enjoy the ride when she comes with me, also so we can call each other and talk while riding, since there’s no PTT option. My helmet is a nice snug fit and I have big ears so I often have issues with them rolling up when I throw the helmet on (I wear a ScorpionExo CovertFX Large). These speakers are rather tall and made it impossible for me to fit my head and ears into the helmet comfortably. After doing some research it seemed my only option would be to modify the foam in the helmet for clearance and I'm not really willing to cut into my ~$275 helmet. Also, when I went to remove the speakers, pulling them off with minimal effort pulled the unit apart and caused some damage. This issue may be specific to my head and helmet, but I wanted to share the experience in case anyone else is in similar situation.
