Very thin bags. Anything heavier than cardboard may rip the bag. Seems sturdy enough for loose trash. I would not buy these for storage of anything. I like the tie string. Good for the price and their somewhat limited purpose.

HEFTY is, if not the top garbage producer, so they have a reputation to keep favorable, so this product has to be part of that reputation, so the bag needs to be useded as intended. When you look at the bag, it may look thin, but knowing HEFTY, the bag has been tested to use as intended. The bag is good for kitchen trash and not rocks, sticks, kitchen trash only.
