First the good points: I've only used it once, but the firepit does seem put out a decent flame and warmth. Too bad other issues overshadow that point. As you can see in the picture, the top came with a large dent on the top (which a few other buyers have experienced), with paint chipped off. I was thinking of returning it, but it is much easier for me to knock the dent out, and touch it up with black rustoleum paint. I do intend to contact the seller and give them an earful re: their quality control which apparently is substandard. My main issue is with the instructions that came with the pit. I have assembled many outdoor furniture pieces, including gas grills, and I have never seen such confusing, and incorrect directions. Some of the diagrams they included are not correct, and you need a magnifying glass to see them. We'll see how the pit functions moving forward, but to me the assembly frustration is not worth it, hence the two stars. As an amendment to this review, I contacted the seller who immediately sent out a replacement part for the firepit, and a partial refund. Excellent customer service, and they are deserving of the 5 star review. ... show more

Very happy with this purchase. Downsized from a bigger, heavier fire pit to this one. Was worried it wouldn’t be big enough but it is plenty for us. Plenty of heat and much easier to move around our deck. Instructions were good-got it together in 20-30 minutes. Only used for half a season so far so can’t speak to its durability yet. ... show more

The good new is that the unit works fine Once it has been put together. We are very pleased with it. The problem is that the directions are not precise, and I had to disassemble it several times until it was assembled correctly. Also, the metal hinge on the door is very fragile and could easily break if you are not careful. ... show more

The firepit arrived undamaged. My husband put it together by himself in a short time frame. We were both pleasantly surprised with the quality based on the price! In order to have the cover sit flat, we had to take some of the pretty blue stones out. I figured on getting different lava stones for it before I bought it, but I really like the blue glass "rocks".
