While building this fire pit, I kept thinking about how much thought went into the packaging and components. When a company puts real effort into even the small details, it usually means they take pride in the entire product — and that impression held up. The parts are well-engineered, not cheaply made. The welds are clean, the finish is uniform, and even the hidden surfaces and edges are properly finished and rounded. The charcoal insert has a smooth ceramic-style coating to resist rust, which is a nice touch compared to many steel grills. Even the screw packages are clearly labeled and come in zip-lock bags instead of frustrating bubble packs. As someone who has built boats for years, I always check the areas you can’t easily see. Every piece on this fire pit is finished on all sides, and everything fits precisely with no sharp edges. The design is smart too. The legs are solid, it includes a stand for regular logs, and a raised ceramic plate for charcoal cooking that lets you grill burgers or chicken. The two grates are interchangeable, lift out easily, pivot 360 degrees, and are height adjustable. The barrel has excellent airflow without dropping ashes everywhere, and the buck-shaped cutouts give it a nice cabin feel. It even comes with a matching iron fire poker. Assembly was straightforward — one screwdriver and optionally a 10mm wrench is all you need. I had the whole thing together in under 30 minutes. The instructions are clear and well-drawn. I will add one personal note re: assembly. As a product designer and builder, I often times find myself attaching multi part pieces to each other and the biggest trick is to never tighten any of the screws until they are all threaded and started. There are so many reasons for this but I will leave you with 60+ years of mechanical and building experience and the fourth picture in this set... Trust me. That being said, this is easily one of the best-designed and well-executed products I’ve reviewed in a long time. It’s not just decorative — it’s should be genuinely useful for both open fires and cooking. Five Stars.

Picked this up for my back yard where I have a cement pad that we normally have our campfires on/around using a fire pit. The old one had rusted out a bit so I decided to give this one a shot. Quality-wise, this is average. It's not the thickest metal and has me suspecting it'll rust through like the other did in a couple of seasons. I plan to get a small rain cover to somewhat help slow the process and keep it longer. It is feature loaded, and we will sometimes cook around the fire, so the extra space to set things is nice. I have a tea kettle I use at the fire pit all the time and almost always will at least boil water while we're at the fire. From a value standpoint, this one comes in at a $200 pricepoint. Comparing it to other options out there, I'd say this is a average 3/5 to slight above average 4/5 value. I'll temper that with the quality as I think, despite the features, the thinness of material has me considering this an average 3/5 firepit, but I might be inclined to call it 4/5 for features. So, overall, while I initially started this review thinking it was a 3/5, I'm going to give this one a 4/5. You can see my thought process here and I believe for some this is a 3/5, but for others, it will be a 4/5 with these features for this price.

I like this fire pit. It is multifunctional and can be used with charcoal with the removable internal stand and grate, with 2 adjustable height and position food grates. Or you can remove the charcoal stand and grate and make fire with wood. The 2 adjustable cooking grates can be easily removed if you're just having a fire and not cooking. The size for a fire is substantial, accommodates standard log size. If you wanted you could use the large cooking grate to mostly cover your fire which may help with burn regulations, but I am not sure. Of course, use your common sense and follow burn regulations in your area. The glow is pretty with the deer motif on the sides. I like the edges/shelf around the pit which could hold utensils, a metal coffee pot to keep warm, foil packs if you're cooking. To put together was a little bit confusing. I thought they forgot some screws, but they were doubled up in a couple of the bags. When I got done, I found the "missing" screws. The washers did not fit into the small wrench provided, but the wrench when used at an angle was able to tighten bolt down adequately. All pieces fit together perfectly, and there are quite a few pieces. I was able to put together in about an hour with minor interruptions from my grandkids. It is built sturdy. I'm 65 yr old female and I can carry this fire pit by myself with minimal effort, although having 2 people would have been easier to move it to it's spot. I would say it is very portable. It is able to be put into the back of my Nissan Rogue (I had to bring it to an area on my land away from my house). I do not think I would cart this around for camping, because of it's size and bulkiness, and need to pack more things for camping in your car, but if you needed to get it into a small suv you could, possibly into a trunk depending on the size of the trunk. The price is good for this quality. All pieces were carefully packed and arrived undamaged. I put off assembly because it looked intimidating, but it really wasn't. It makes a lovely addition to my homestead, a safer place to have a small fire away from our regular dirt fire pit.

Cheap made, very flimsy, wire grill rack bent in multiple places during the first burn. Serves it purpose but it's more for looks.
