I bought two pair (in grey and black) of these pants for a 3 week backpacking trip in New Zealand. These pants were perfect for the variable weather conditions, and withstood rainstorms and tramping through mud pits. They were super comfortable, regardless of how cold (as low as 2 degrees fahrenheit) or how hot (~75 degrees fahrenheit). I love the breathable netting, pockets, and adjustable ankles. As for sizing, I'm 5'3" and about 115lbs. I first ordered them in Small, which was way too baggy for me. I then exchanged for the XS, which was a much more flattering fit, with plenty of room left to be comfortable. Next time, I might try the petite XS, as these pants are slightly longer than ideal, so I have to wear extra high on my waist. I should also note that after hiking 100 miles in just these 2 pairs, I experienced zero chaffing the entire time. TLDR: Great pants for variable weather conditions, water resistance is excellent, consider ordering a size down, excellent quality for the price.

Let me start by saying that I am an avid and rabid REI customer. I do not mind paying a higher price for good gear. I have a couple pair of REI hiking pants but have never been happy with them. I tried these pants on a whim as they had good reviews. I am pear shaped (too many years of office work) with thick thighs and a smallish waist. These pants not only fit my waist, but also my thighs. They are lightweight, yet warm enough to not catch a chill. They also stretch so no worries about tearing a seam if you step over a tree stump or rocks while hiking. While filtering water from a spring at dusk on a recent trip to Georgia, I spilled water down one of my legs. The pants were completely dry within 10-15 minutes – again, no chance of catching a chill. The thigh pocket is large enough and convenient to hold a Samsun phone and trail map. I have bought six pair total, all different colors, and wear them around the house as well. The large fit nicely, but I opted for the extra-large so I can wear leggings under them when it gets really cold outside.

These pants are soft, lightweight, and great for hiking and backpacking. I purchased XL and they fit okay. They were a little snug on the hips and thighs but I kept the XL because they look good on me, just may not be so great for hiking. I sized up on the second pair and they're too big but they still look good. They very roomy and comfy. I'm purchasing a third pair now.

These are super comfy, they look good on (even when you're plus-sized like me), the pockets are great, they are still comfortable when sitting, and they have so far stood up to the rigors of hiking. They're very lightweight, so not the best for cold weather hikes without a base layer, but nice and light for summer hikes. I have large calves, and the pants fit over them well, but I can't get the bottom hem up to use the elastic above my calf to shorten them in that way (not sure if they're designed to do that or not, so take from that what you will). I also like that the logo is nondescript. The zippers feel durable, and I haven't had one fail on me yet.

Really happy with the quality. They are soft comfortable and just stretchy enough. Feels like durable and like they will be lightweight and great for summer. waistband is super soft and comfortable. I ordered a 5'7 and 185. Ordered XL so they will be slightly relaxed/baggy fit in the legs. Fit nicely with some extra room but not wimming in the hips and crotch.

These are THE most comfortable hiking pants I’ve ever owned. I purchased these last minute because I needed quick drying pants for a hike that has streams. They were delivered in two days and when I tried them on they were AMAZING! Comfortable, light weight, great navy color that goes with everything. I have a smaller waist and big thighs & calves and sometimes have to size up to get pants to “fit”. The label says it’s 3 way fabric and it is - it stretches when you sit on your haunches and lies flat with no folds when you stand up. I thought they might be a bit thin to hike Angels Landing in Zion early in the morning at 47 degrees but they kept the wind out and I stayed warm with a puffer jacket and when it heated up to 80 degrees later in the day I stayed cool. So versatile! I am 5ft 6” have shorter legs and a longer body so to be able to find these in “petite” was a bonus - no fabric scrunching over my shoes. Love that you can also pull the leg ties and make them into “capris”. Wish they would make the petite in more colors (burgundy/plum would be great - I did buy another make that had this color but the fit and fabric on these pants was far superior). Highly recommend these hiking/ walking pants and will purchase other colors.

These might be water resistant if all you're doing is walking through early morning mist/fog. Once it starts to rain even lightly, the water just soaks through the pants. I would say if you're just looking for nice looking loose lightweight pants to wear outdoors when it's not raining then these work fine. I've also worn them over wool leggings on chilly days to help block the wind and that worked fine too.

I was looking for a less expensive version of Kuhl Splash Roll up pants. I’m 5’1” and 135 lbs. I ordered a size medium and they fit very well with room to gain since my weight tends to fluctuate quite a bit. They are very lightweight and extremely comfortable. The material is thinner than my Kuhl pants, but that is to be expected due to the difference in price. I haven’t had a chance to really break them in outside yet but I feel certain they will hold up well. I really like the comfort of the high waist and the option to tighten the ankles since they are a little long on me. I’m planning on ordering more!
