This is a great cover for my kitchenaid mixer, but it is just a bit too small at the base. It needs another 1/4-1/2 inch so that the mixer does not sit on top of the zipper. Its very difficult to completely zip the base so you have to move the mixer over the zipped side to zip the other side. Ultimately, the mixer sits on top of one side of the zipped base on top of the zipper, not a good fit for the large bowl lift kitchenaid. I also purchased the tilt head cover, and that one fits perfectly with room to spare. Both the tilt head and large bowl lift bases are the same size with makes no sense because the mixer bases themselves are different in size. Large mixer, small mixer! Please make the bases on these covers to match the size of the actual mixer base. ... show more

The best thing to keep dust away, I have a 4.5 but I got the bigger one just in case because if things I had read, the fit is perfect.
