  • It is just amazing, it flies
Color: C18 Display Size: BB68mm+46T
The media could not be loaded. For the most part i keep it in assist 3 and i already put very very low effort, and it can run for a long time if you re pedaling in assist 3, sometimes i want to fly so i use the assist 5, personal best 67.5 km/h so far, it can do better, unloaded it goes up to 99.9km/h (55v charge, the high rpm gets lower and lower as the voltage drops-logic), my personal best was done with heavy chains on the bike, heavy wind from the front, and thick clothes, so it can definitely go faster, but you shouldn t go faster, or use a road bike for a project like this, you ll fear that it can break in half at that speed and weight ( i have the kryptonite U lock mini and the largest chain they have+heaviest). Pros: the battery lasts a long time, very long time, even with a lot of throttle abuse and keeping it a lot in throttle without pedaling, i got 111 km on the odometer with the factory charging + another charge, (as i m writting the review i m charging it for the second time). Cons: all the complaints go to the battery, the throttle will not fit if you have a thick handlebar, i have a road bike with lowbars and i had to scoop it out (but then it wouldnt stay in one piece because the center is what keeps it together so i super glued the outside then added some hot glue on top to prevent water from entering, although water won t break it, there isn t any potentiometer, just a magnet and a sensor, that s all and i love that because it will definitely last very long), back to the battery complaints, it lasts a long but... there is no marking or instruction on it about the maximum charge, how much the usb port supplies, and the only thing is shanshan bumblebee as a model, which is weird and never heard of before, you can t really ride in the rain because of the battery, i got caught in the rain twice, water gets into the red kill switch and it will provide current even if the switch is on off, it s kinda stupid when you think that the motor is waterproof and so it s the display and all the other things, but it still works, i m just worried more water can get inside and damage it for good ( i shall open it one day and seal it with some good silicone). DPC 18: many people complain about the display not holding the time, it does, and it does very well, you know why? somehow the motor/controler holds up a good amount of charge from the battery (14v or so) put a multimeter on the motor s wires while disconnected, you ll see i m not lying, also, my light stays on for a few seconds to prove this theory, while the battery is out. The controler kills the power at 41v, unfortunately sometimes at 43v, although it can still provide enough power to keep you going for another 20 km or so but less fast, it should be up to us, in case of emergency maybe we want to use those extra volts, and charge it when we don t need, when we see 41v then we can charge, but you charge at 41-43 anyway cause it s limited. (it can be changed with a programming cable but i won t do that anytime soon, for now i ll leave it the way it is, i d like to tweak the throttle full power in all asist modes, cause when you need it... better have it, not having to switch to pas 5 first to get the max powaaaaaaaah from the throttle). anway, maybe in the future. Forgot about the display, i get lost in excitement so i have to come back to the same thing, the voltage is VERY ACCURATE, if you get 48 v as you re supposed to, it works, tested with a multimeter before and after putting the battery on a couple of times, the speedometer is also pretty accurate, shows +/- 1km/h compared to my gps speed. The chainring: is not as bad as people cry about, 111 km and it fell only 3 times, that s because i go fast or shift while the bike runs over bumps which makes the chain move sideways and oh well.... it s not as bad. Would be nice if they included a wrench for the bottom bracket, you re stuck using a pipe wrench otherwise. And you can use my idea of adding those brackets to keep it from wiggling up and down all the time, cause nothing can tighten it so good to keep it from moving up and down. Back to the battery complain i remembered...(see video) it makes a squeaky noise while on small bumps, or uneven road (it s ny so it squeaks all the way non stop), the plastic from the battery is wiggly up and down and it grinds against the plastic that it stands on. I have the headphones in most of the time so... not that big deal breaker there either, but i liked the idea of keeping the battery in the back and not giving up on my bottle holders, it s less obvious that it s electric this way, cause everyone keeps the battery in the middle (which is good for stability) but i liked that this one also has a rear light into it so no worries of extra wires. I ll add a video of the build in the meanwhile on my youtube (working on it) my channel's name is MihailZX if you want to see all the trouble i had building it. update on the battery: found out that the shanshan company makes just the cases of the battery, they do not make the whole thing, it s more for diy projects, it s an empty box that you can fill with (using proper knowledge on how to) battery cells and build your own battery pack. It s pretty neat but i m skeptical about who might ve made this, it could have been just someone like me and you, but anyway, there aren t really companies that make batteries specifically for this voltage, most of them are made out of samsung cells 18650 put together by someone in china, no overheat during charging or heavy usage so i guess they knew what they were doing... On some site i found that they promise for the same battery 1000 charging cycles minimum so... given that i can squeeze 60 km on a full charge that gives us a total of 60 000 km of life, which is good.... if you can charge it 1000 times and not lose any of the capacity, other batteries say that 500 is the limit but with larger capacity comes longer life-from what i ve heard/researched. ... show more

  • powerful Motor for ebike. Love it
Color: Display 750C(New version with bluetooth ... Size: BB68mm ChairingT46+Rear Battery 48V 17.5Ah
This is a "badass" motor. I used to have 350W ebike and this bike left that bike to dust. Awesome. The kit came in two shipments as the battery came in via Fedex Ground. They asked me to provide the feedback so here you go. 1. Installation: Pros: -There are lot of videos online showing how to disassemble your bike and install with the kit and it took me about 3hrs to complete the kit with brake sensors, throttle, 750C display, and Headlight. Everything seems to require no technical to install it. -Cons: -Not much technical detail how thing work and completely depend on people experiences online to learn about the kit. 2. Performance: -Pros: this bike is so powerful and i believe all the default setting get you about 75% of the power but you can google online to crank it up to 100% -Cons: too powerful so you have to be careful on the road. My stock setup allow me to run to ~25-28mph using PAS level 4 average including hills in Seattle. 3. Customer service: -Pros: They respond very fast, and promptly and promise to reimburse the shift level as I did not realize it is not included in the kit as standard. -Cons: still to be determined if they keep their promise. 8/25. Customer service very useful and the kept their promise. They helped with orders support, helped to exchange the unit when I found an issue detailed in the next section. Very good communication AA++++ 4. Technical support: -Pros: their after sale technical support seems to be knowledgeable with the kit but not the new display. I have an issue with the 750C display only show between 76%-85% when the charger fully charged the battery. They promise to look into it and get back... Update 8/25. They provided the shipping label to send the unit back, they found the unit need new firmware update so they replaced me with new unit. Installed it on my bike and everything seems to work great after that. Great service and Communication.. AAA++++ Cons: No Cons. Like the customer support as well.. Despite the minor technical issues, the kit delivers its promise for a powerful ebike. 4. Down tube battery vs rack battery I have heard lot of people saying the down tube provide better balance because all weight is low and center to the bike. I understand the explanation but my bike has small frame so the down tube will be in place of my water bottle so I am glad that i pick out the rack version of the battery for the convenient of the bottle water. ... show more
