Been self cutting since Covid, and have been using Oster Fast Feeds, zero gapped using an Andis ceramic blade. The Babyliss seemed perfect and mostly well reviewed. Started using it, and I may not even need to zero gap it. Blade cuts well. Has a great "professional" feel, and the smaller size should be great for travel and C adaptor solves any voltage issues. I'm old school (and just plain old) and the Osters are, to me, great clippers, too. I'll be using both at home. The BaByliss does not disappoint. cut well, very sharp, battery life so far is great, they are quiet , has lots of power and light weight. I am very happy with my purchase, comfortable in the hand. The only thing i was disappointed with was it didn't come with a #5,#6 clipper attachment, but the clippers work great and very compact.

When new, it worked great: excellent grip, precise cut, solid trimming. Battery life was strong too — I only used it about twice a month, and went a couple of months between charges. I would have given this 5 stars. But unfortunately, it didn’t last. After about 7 months of normal use (just to keep my short haircut), it started making unusual noises, then gave me a couple of small cuts. I found that one of the blades had come loose and was misaligned. After removing the screws holding the blades together, I discovered a surprising amount of rust inside, which had corroded through the thin wire holding that blade in place. See the photo for details. I wasn’t able to repair it, so I’m out $180. I’m genuinely disappointed — I followed the manual exactly, gently washing the blades after every use. It’s hard to believe a clippers at this price point, marketed as premium, would fail this fast. If you don’t intend to waste your money, you might want to look elsewhere. ... show more
