I’ve used a lot of electric shavers over the years, but the Barberology Double Foil Shaver FXX3SB FX3 is on another level. It truly lives up to the “professional” label powerful, precise, and built to last. Performance: The high-speed motor is no joke. I like everything about this electric shaver. So far, I have shaved 3 times. So keep my limited experience in mind for my review. -- It is not too heavy. It is not too light. Goldilocks would say it is just right. -- It is easy to grip. It has a good shape to grasp. -- It initially sounded a bit too noisy (I never used an electric shaver before). But it is not loud. It is a bit noisy, but nothing that you should find unpleasant. -- It gives my face a close shave (not the closest, but darn close). However, it depends on the hair. If it is rough, then this shaver works great. If it is fine, then this shaver will struggle. Fine hair will bend and fold, and that means that it will not go into the foil cover's holes for the blades to cut it. So I still use a disposable razor for my neck. But for my beard and mustache, it works great. And it will not cut you. So there is no worrying about that. -- I initially tried it with close to 10 days worth of facial growth. It is not designed for that, and did nearly nothing. But if you shave daily, or even skip a day (which is what I do), it works great. -- The manual states to fully charge it before using it. I did. I decided to test how long a full charge would last. I purchased this on March 27, 2025. I have been shaving with it every-other-day, since then. The LED light, today, October 17, 2025, flashed that the batter is low. And even with it flashing, it shaved like it was fully charged (no sign of slowing down). I am impressed. The manufacturer definitely used a quality battery. -- There are four battery strength bars. According to the manual, when the last bar starts blinking, you have 10 minutes left. At full charge, it is supposed to last 3 hours. -- For my shaves, it did not heat up. -- It is simple to remove the cap to expose the blades. That allows you to run some water over the blades to clean off the shavings. You can also rinse out the cap, which will have shavings. It takes 3 to 5 seconds to rinse off everything. You do not have to touch anything. Then you let it air dry. The manual warns against using a blow drier. So let it air dry. -- The manual warns to not use it when it is wet. -- The manual warns to not submerge the shaver under water. But rinsing is fine. I would think twice about using it in the shower. -- Not mentioned in the listing (and this goes for all electric foil shavers) is that you should oil the blades after every use. The manual goes on to read that not doing so will void the warranty. -- The oil is not included. So if you do not have oil, add it to your basket. -- The rechargeable battery is not replaceable. So whenever the built-in battery gets too old to hold a charge, the shaver becomes a brick -- sort of. It should still work while plugged in. But that is not clear. -- I had a question about its built-in battery. I called their customer service number (it is in the manual). After waiting 12 minutes, I was connected to a polite agent. But rather than telling me whether or not the battery was replaceable, she kept repeating that if it dies under the 2-year warranty, they will ship a new one. I was asking her about replacing the battery after the 2-year warranty period, and it was going in circles. Either she did not know the answer, and did not want to say that she did not know, or she was told / trained to focus on the warranty. But I politely made my question clear, and she eventually said that after 2 years, the unit would need to be recycled. That was the best answer I was able to obtain from her. There was no mention of a battery replacement in the manual. -- The foil and the blades are replaceable I do not know how simple or tedious that would be. It is probably not difficult, based on the rest of the shaver's very good design. I hope that the blades and the foils hold up for the long run. But for now, I like everything about this shaver (other than not being able to replace its built-in, rechargeable battery).

The BaBylissPRO FX3 Double Foil Shaver is a beast. It cuts super close, runs quietly, and never tugs or irritates my skin. The battery life is great, and the build feels premium and solid in hand. Perfect for fades, necklines, and clean shaves. Definitely worth the price if you want professional-level results at home.

Before purchasing this device I previous used an A***s foil shaver on my head (and face) for the past 2 years. I would say that the Babybliss is step up on all fronts. This razor is quieter than the competitor, has a more substantial feel and is a thicker more premium plastic, the case is more rectangular, which I find easier to hold, the unit turns off with the replacement of the foil guard/"cover" as the on/off switch is on the side so the cover pushes it down/off when it is replaced and the cleaning of the shaver is about the same as the competitor. I purchased this unit on sale for just a little more than the other razor and feel that this one if a better value for the money. As far as closeness of the shave, I would say that they are about the same or this razor might be slightly closer, but they both provide a very close shave, much closer than my nearly $300 Series 9 Braun. Lastly it has 4 blue LEDs that indicate the battery level so you're not guessing at the state of charge, I have been using it daily for both my head and face and I just dropped down to 2 LEDs, around 50% charge. All in all I would definitely purchase this device again and am very happy with it.

Amazing product, as a barber I felt I got my money's worth the battery lasted weeks until I made this review no joke, it looks great has a beautiful design and it cuts effortlessly, I had only noticed one minor thing and it’s at first use was super sharp then as it was broken in it decreased a little only a professional barber would notice cause it’s a slight change.

For a long time I've used expensive shavers ($300+) because I shave my head as well as my face. Since getting the BaBylissPRO I've found that it is the best shaver I've owned, regardless of price.
