This Babyletto Kiwi glider recliner has been a wonderful addition to our nursery. The chair is extremely comfortable for long feeding sessions, rocking a baby to sleep, or just relaxing with a book. The cushioning is supportive without being too firm, and the fabric feels soft yet durable. The electronic reclining feature works smoothly and quietly, which is important when trying not to wake a sleeping baby. The 270-degree swivel and gentle gliding motion make it easy to find the perfect position. I also really appreciate the built-in USB ports, which are very convenient for charging a phone during late-night feedings. The GREENGUARD Gold certification and water- and stain-resistant fabric give extra peace of mind for a baby environment.     • Great chair for more than just your nursery

Extremely comfortable chair. Not only is it perfect for your nursery or child’s room it can easily transition into a nice chair for another part of your home. It glides, swivels and reclines and we appreciate the fact that the recline feature is electric. The only drawback I would report is that there aren’t two usb-c charging ports as the old usb port is pretty obsolete at this point. Initially we considered the performance fabric for easy cleaning, but once we saw the boucle fabric in person we fell in love with it! It is a slightly expensive glider if you’re only looking at it as a nursery chair, but it is one of my favorite pieces in our daughters room and I couldn’t be happier with the decision to buy it; if you’re considering it, don’t hesitate! Oh, and the setup is very easy…just a few clicks of the pieces, plug it in and you’re ready to go! It’s very sturdy and you will need assistance bringing the box into your house ... show more

    • Perfect nursery chair!
Sept. 2019 update: That weird clicking went away! I still love this chair. No issues with the electronic components so far. The arms were starting to get a little pilled from constant use but a fabric shaver has it looking good as new. May 2019 update: I still love this chair, but I feel compelled to say that it’s not safe to sleep with a baby on your chest/in your arms in a recliner. I didn’t know that when I was chair shopping. Maybe that’s why so many recliners don’t lock into place? Nevertheless, the power recline is awesome and I love resting in this chair with my feet up with my kiddo. But please don’t fall asleep that way. It can be fatal. — It’s safe to say I looked at nearly every recliner on the internet before purchasing this chair for our nursery. I wanted a rocker that reclined and that would lock into place when reclined — not as easy to find as you’d think. Most recliner-rockers require you to use your body weight to hold the back down. That seems less than ideal at 4 a.m. when your child won’t sleep anywhere but on you. Enter the Babyletto Kiwi. After a few weeks at home with a newborn I can say it was worth the investment. 1. I love the power recline, more than anything for sitting back up/getting out of the chair. I’m not kicking my feet on the foot rest or searching for a handle to tug on while juggling a sleeping child. 2. It’s super comfortable. I’m 5’6”, my husband is 6’, and we both like sitting in it. The armrests are at a great height for me for comfort when nursing. 3. The swivel, which I didn’t think was that important, is really handy when I’m reaching for water, my phone, etc. Note that this chair does NOT glide front to back (it rocks). I’m not sure why they call it a glider — the side to side motion? 4. Shipping was super fast! Be prepared for a giant box. Tips: The base is very heavy. If you are putting this in an upstairs nursery, be prepared for some real work getting it up the stairs (or just pay for delivery service to get it up there). For those that select the linen color, I suggest putting a towel or two on the seat in the early postpartum weeks to protect the fabric. No, it doesn’t look cute — you can take the towels off for nursery photos, no one will know. The fabric is supposed to be water and stain resistant, but I don’t want to test it. Due to a few reviews complaining about the electronic components failing I purchased the SquareTrade extended warranty. Fingers crossed I don’t have to use it. I give it four stars because an intermittent clicking has developed when I rock. It’s inconsistent, annoying, and I’m in no place to pull the chair apart to investigate it. This is nursery approved by my daughter in law. The great thing about this chair is you can adjust the back independently of the feet. It glides so smoothly and it is whisper quiet! The only complaint that I have is that the controls are not on the inside of the arm rest. That would make it 10 stars.
