  • My favorite out of all my pumps
I personally love how strong this is but I realize everyone is built differently. I have willow go, spectra s1, and modela harmony hand pump but so far I am loving the baby Buddha the best due to the suction strength because it gets that last little bit out to fully empty me in 10min! However, I’m not in my first week of pumping so I can see how it would have hurt quite a bit had this been my first pump. This is definitely a down the road pump on the breastfeeding journey (I’d say after maybe the first month). Willow go is nice for portability but it doesn’t do the job well and actually has caused me to have painful clogged ducts 3 times now, is annoying to clean and none of the parts can be sterilized, pouring the milk from it is difficult, and it is heavy and bulky so it falls down in my bra often. Also it is hard to see if you have it positioned exactly right on the nipple. If you don’t, no milk will flow and you waste a lot of time. The wearables like the willow go are made for use once your supply is established about 3 months postpartum because their suction is not as strong. This can hurt your supply if you use it in the beginning months postpartum. The spectra works better to empty than the willow go and has a stronger pull to help empty more out but it takes twice as long as the baby Buddha and just isn’t strong enough for me anymore. I have gained about 20% more so far with the baby Buddha. I also like the different type of suction pattern that the baby Buddha has where it does 10 short tugs and one long one for the stimulation mode. The downside is that you cannot adjust the cycle and vacuum independently like you can on the spectra. The most annoying part about the baby Buddha for me is that you can only order the original spare parts directly from their website (not on Amazon). They take 7 days to arrive and cost over $50 if you buy the flanges, bottles, and covers. [Update: they are selling some on Amazon now that I see!] I’m also having some issues with the rolling ball button on the pump as sometimes it’s difficult to get it to scroll to high levels quickly enough (especially at 3am) but I do like that there are only two buttons on the instrument for simplicity. This is still my main go to pump though by far due to its portability and strength. UPDATE: my supply had tanked last month so badly that I was down to only getting about half an ounce every two hours due to using the willow go too early postpartum and not pumping enough at night which was why I looked for a new pump and now am up to 2.5oz every 2hrs and it is increasing every day! I think it is because this pump is emptying me each time, signaling to my body to make more. This pump saved my supply! ... show more

  • Small and mighty - great primary pump!
This pump is incredible. As an exclusive pumper this has improved my life! What I love: 1. Powerful - this thing is STRONG. Even though it’s small it has a powerful suction (borderline too powerful, I live on vacuum 1 or 2) and empties me fully better and faster than my Spectra in about 10-15 min. 2. Easy single pumping option - I love that I can quickly and easily toggle from double pumping to single to give my slacker side a little longer if I need to. 3. Battery life - I can get 5-6 sessions out of a single charge which is even better than I expected. Battery charges quickly and if I plug it in after a session it’s fully charged by my next session in 3-4 hrs. 4. Portable- having full flexibility to move around while pumping without sacrificing power is a game changer. Now I can play with my kids or wash dishes/cook dinner easily while pumping. What I don’t love: 1. The included flanges/cushion - there are very limited size options for these, and the included options don’t work for me (I need 19mm). I’ve tried the flanges with 19mm silicone inserts but I prefer the 19mm hard plastic flanges I use with my Spectra. Easy to hack though, just pop the ends off the tubing and connect to the Spectra back flow protectors. 2. A bit noisy - it’s definitely louder than my Spectra especially if you put it down on a table but well worth it. The only thing I regret is that I spent so much time going back and forth on whether to buy this or not. This pump is definitely worth it and is solidly my primary pump as an exclusive pumper. By the way, this is not sponsored at all - I’m just a regular mom who is a big fan! ... show more

  • Too heavy, low output
Size: BabyBuddha Pump 2.0
This is my third baby and the baby Buddha is my fifth pump, so I have a good idea how my breasts and nipple The would feel when the pumps are working well for me. And this bump does not make it. Con: This pump is very loud and my baby always wake up when I turned it on. My baby has no problem sleeping through my medela symphony or Ameda Glo. The whole set up of flange and bottles are big and very heavy. Since the flange is not detachable like Medela , I have to get a pumping bra that has slightly larger holes in order for the flange to go through. Large holes together with heavy weight , I have to hold both bottles when pumping or risk losing suction due to the weight. This completely defeats the purpose of hands free. Since the flange is so big, it takes up a lot of space in the bottle washer machine. Not a big deal on its own. The worst part is the suction. While the suction is very strong and slightly painful, it still did not extract much milk ! How ?! I made sure the nipple is properly positioned and used flange insert for a better size fit, and still all the suction and pain with relatively low output. Even my ameda glo wearable gets more output. The pump itself with the lanyard was awkward. May be a clip would work better ? Overall this bump is a no for me. Very disappointed. ... show more

  • Small but mighty
Size: BabyBuddha Pump 2.0
The BabyBuddha 2.0 is a game-changer if you have a hard time getting a let-down. It is tiny but has a very unique, strong suction that empties me faster than any hospital-grade pump I’ve tried. I love that I can hang it around my neck and walk around while pumping—it makes solo parenting a 5 yr old and a baby actually possible. If you need a pump that is portable but doesn't sacrifice power, this is the one! I use my MomMed when I need to be totally hands-free, but I switch to my BabyBuddha when I have less time to pump. ... show more
