Whoa! This doggie door is way better than I expected. I'm not blowing smoke, and I'm not a pro reviewer paid by the company. I have two big dogs, and two cats. The old doggie door became a liabillity, so I had to replace it with this one. Hey, I didn't enjoy spending over 200 bucks for this surprise expense, but since I was forced to, I'm glad I chose Baboni. I got the XL size. It has 3 door flaps -- 2 translucent rubbery ones with a third, opaque insulating flap in the middle. The fact that those doors are substantial is why I had to replace my old doggie door. It's all because of this new kitty I recently got. The old door had only one flap, and it wasn't always shut closed but was askew and you could see around it. This doggie door leads from the kitchen to the garage, btw. And yet another doggie door in the garage wall leads to the outside. And my cats are indoor cats. This new kitty is extra curious and I caught it standing at the doggie door with great curiosity about what was on the other side. I can't have my cats even thinking about going outside as their lives would be in jeopardy because of predators. After all that, this Baboni doggie door with 3 flaps actually is a savior. After I installed it, the dogs went through like it was nothing. I don't think they even noticed it was a new doggie door. And there's no way the cats will ever think to go through it. It looks impassable to a cat. Installation was easy. The door is one those metal doors with a foam center. This Baboni door is taller than the old opening, so I had to cut into the door to the perfect size. Pro tip: use a side grinder with a metal cut off blade. You can follow your pencil line and burn right through. A jigsaw or reciprocating saw will not work because the two outer sides of the door will catch and bend. like you can't believe. You just can't do it without major destruction and chaos. Once you have your hole cut, it's just a matter of putting it together. The most difficult aspect of this stage is drilling the holes for the screws. In a door like this one, with the foam center, you holes on each side may not line up perfectly. Let me make that more clear -- THE WON"T LINE UP. So it's real hard to set up the doggie door frame on the door and put the screws in from one side to another. I found you need to have a steel rod the size of the screws but longer and push that rod through each screw hole from one side to the other. You make a path through the foam with the rod, then put your screw through the hole and fasten the nut on the other side. This is what takes the most time in the installation. I wouldn't be afraid, if I were you, to do this yourself. The Baboni doggie door is made of first rate materials, and the craftsmanship cannot be faulted. You'll really enjoy the look of it in your home. It basically saved my cats from ever going outside, and it looks like it will last forever. I am rarely this satisfied with a product I bring home, but in this instance, it is so good I felt like writing this review.

I was surprised how well packaged and built the door was. Install was simple as expected. The blocking door is actually metal. It seems like great quality. Only a couple small things: 1- Only every once in a while the flap (three of ‘em) gets stuck a little open and 2- the cool lock that holds the blocking door/panel up lets it cock to the side. You can see in the pic, we used a command hook to level it out. Overall great deal- would buy again

Awesome product! Just installed it yesterday & the dogs were able to use it right away. My largest dog (in the video) is 160 pounds & there's no trouble with him using it! The flaps are sturdy & keep heat & cold out of the house.

Super sturdy dog door! Three flaps that help with keeping heat/cold outside. Can be a little harder for small dogs but my 9lb kid can get through. Don’t love the slider, it’s a little flimsy and the lock to keep it up isn’t very solid. But, I just keep the slider out and there’s no problem.

Purchased to replace a 16 year old beat up dog door. A lot of metal is in this door and it installs pretty easily especially if it’s going in a hole from previous doors. This door has a metal block off door with a latch making it much easier to block the door in a few seconds because of the design allowing it to remain on the door unblocked. The only small issue is the third door flap, it’s grey not frosted clear like the inner and outer doors so the dogs thought it was blocked after not seeing light through it. I may put the third door back in or try to find another clear door to use instead. Overall it works well and seals better than the previous doors.

We upgraded from a single-panel doggy door to this triple-panel model, and we couldn’t be more pleased. It’s very sturdy and well made — the build quality is excellent. All four of our animals — two dogs and two cats — figured it out the same day. We were a little concerned the triple panel would be tricky since they were already used to a single panel, but they picked it up almost immediately. One panel or another may get stuck a little, but that happened with the single panel and it let air in. This triple keeps a closure at all times. Highly recommend.

This has worked great and changed helped out greatly for my dogs. Hard part for me was cutting the door because it was a steel basement door. The door lock panel has been great for when you want to keep the dogs from going through it. Creates a decent seal. Does not always seal perfectly leaving a littl gap but most of the times it does. Good quality as well. Would buy again. Also, don't be foold by the size. My labrador is kindof on the hefty side. I did not think it was going to be big enough for her to easily go through it but she has plenty of room. She weighs about 75 pounds.
