The only issue I had was several of the self tapping screws snapped which I had to drill out and added to the install. Also be careful of using the long screws provided for installing the top track on your RV. One hit the wire to my slide motor which runs through the upper interior of the wall. Decent awning for the price. Bit of a pain to install on your own. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BACKING IN THE WALL FOR THE BRACKETS TO ATTACH TO!!! I believe instructions say this, but I've been in construction for 30yrs. Not a problem for me to fix, other than the wife was mad that I cut the wall panel out of the slider after we just spend several months remodeling our trailer lol. ... show more

I'm a master certified RV technician and wanted a lower cost alternative to the high priced big name toppers. This is a great designed product that will exceed you expectations. I like this product so much , I purchased 3 more to finish the other slides.

I am very happy with the awning design and construction and the instructions were easy to understand. It is easy to install if you have the tools and know how to assemble things. You need two people and at least two ladders or scaffolding since it requires holding it up to install. Falling off the ladder was my only problem. Since it is new I can't speak about how well it will hold up but it looks sturdy and the fabric is strong so I hope for many years of use. I can recommend it but caution anyone planning to install it to understand it is "relatively" easy to install if you are a real handy person and have experience with tools and assembling things. ... show more

A very well made product. They are not hard to install but are a little bit tricky in that parts can move and things can fall apart until the fasteners are installed. (Don't let go of one side until the other side is COMPLETELY secure) I strongly recommend two people for the install. Once installed they look and work great. Customer service is top notch. I had a problem with one of the two slide toppers (my fault, not theirs) but with just a few emails and in less than 10 days I had a new part. I highly recommend these toppers. ... show more

The large bolts for the mounting bracket snapped during instal. Be sure to predrill! Otherwise, I find the awning a preventive measure for peace of mind. Looks great as well!
