As you can tell by the title of my review, we didn't measure twice, and ordered the awning 2 feet shorter than the original, I did mention this to the husband, but he is my husband soooo there's that. After moving the brackets to the "correct" place, installation was quite easy! The awning does come in two packages, so don't panic when only one box comes. Just hang on tight and the other will show up! We used the awning on our next camping trip, and it did the job it signed up for quite well! Would defo order from this company again. Awning really made our conversion trailer into a camper. Easy to operate, quick setup and takedown! As long as you're using the pull ribbon to open and close, can be down with one person. With our taller trailer and door, only nuance is getting the awning unrolled/setup at the right height so the door doesn't rub on the fabric - but that isn't due to anything on the awning as much as it is on the trailer design! ... show more

Was a little difficult for older person install and not real user friendly for shorter people on a camper but it works, looks nice. Directions could be easier to follow for first timers.

I made a mistake when installing the awning because I did not read the directions carefully. As a result, I damaged the torsion bar assembly and the awning would not function correctly. I contacted Awnlux thru their whatsapp number and they immediately returned my call and offered to ship the replacement part the same day.     • TERRIBLE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS !!!

As many have already said, the included instructions are horrible. There are a couple of videos that are helpful but not complete. It took us many hours to install. In hindsight, with better instructions, this should be a couple hour installation, max. Other things that are just annoying: the top bracket adjusting clamp could be a little lower and the brake switch lever could be made easier to switch before opening the awning. Awning itself we love. Canopy and frame are awesome. Easy to install if you’re handy. Between the enclosed instructions and YouTube videos (of similar awnings), I was able to successfully install our awning. My only complaint was the mounting hardware (i.e. mounting bolts) were not self tapping as described. I purchased my own to do the install. We’ve used it a few times now and enjoy the ease of opening and closing to store while driving. Setting up our camp is a pleasure now. ... show more
