My only complaint is at the bottom of the cane there is a whole for a cotter pin. This is acking at a stopper so the cane won't come out of the bracket. This is useless if the cane is dropped into any hole/pipe. It should have several wholes in the bottom of the cane so you can make adjustments...other than that good product

Just remember it needs to be bolted onto something 4" wide, like a 4x4 post or frame. Other than that, it works just fine. It came with a cotter pin, but I never figured where it went. Also the rod seems to be pretty soft, so for some reason the bottom has bent just a little. Probably from dragging the ground when I was opening or closing the gate. But that was and is a minor problem, and otherwise it works perfectly, was easy to install, and I would happily buy another one if needed. (Actually I bought two of them, the second one I haven't mounted yet, because the wood is really rotten and I need to replace it first. But once that is done, it will be another easy install).
