I assembled this portable basketball hoop for the backyard and my seven year old son has not stopped playing since. The adjustable height works great to match his growing skills and even the nieces join in when they visit. The backboard handles the ball impacts well without any worries. We roll it around to different spots depending on where we are hanging out which is practical for our space. One non obvious thing is how stable the base feels once filled even when the kids get competitive with their shots. It brings back memories of classic games I used to play and now I can teach the boy some moves after dinner. The whole family gets involved which is nice on sunny afternoons. It is easy to move when I need the space for grilling. The only surprise was how much noise the ball makes bouncing but that is part of the fun. Definitely a winner for keeping the kids active without big court commitments.

I have children ranging from 2 to 14, so I wanted a basketball hoop that could easily be adjusted depending on who was playing. This hoop was fairly simple to put together. My 14 year old did the assembly almost entirely by himself, only needing my help to hold the backboard while he screwed on the hoop. So far, it's a huge hit at my house, and my husband likes that it's easily maneuvered around the patio. I definitely reccomend filling the base with sand!

This basketball hoop was fairly easy to assemble. We’ve had a taller basketball hoop in the past that was impossible for my younger kids to reach. I love that this one is adjustable with a max height of 7.5 feet; they have a chance to actually reach it now! The quality seems on par with a box store, & the price seemed appropriate. This is a great choice for younger kids!

The height adjustment mechanism works smoothly across all settings, and the base fills easily with sand or water for stability. Rim feel is solid — not flimsy — and the net is a decent thickness. It did wobble slightly during aggressive dunking at 7.5 ft, so I’d recommend sandbags for added base stability. Great for kids ages 5–12 developing their game.
