Since buying this brush for myself, I have also bought one for my little niece who hates getting her hair brushed and for my mom who has thinning hair but still keeps it long. Love this brush! My mom had the same Aveda Paddle Brush when I was growing up that I “borrowed” when I went to college and still had until it broke two weeks back. It was in use for at least 20 years before breaking. I bought this replacement brush and it’s the same great quality - minus the one missing bristle. I loved my authentic Aveda brush. After 4 years, I left it while traveling and I had to have another one. The one I ordered off Amazon came with broken bristles and has not held up at all. After only 2 months it is starting to break down as a brush. I don’t know if this is a knock off or a damaged return but I would not recommend buying this brush off Amazon. Just go to an Aveda store and pay a couple dollars more for the real thing. ... show more

I had to replace my original one because unfortunately I left mine in a hotel room while trying to pack every one else up. My daughters forgot their brush so we were using this wonderful one I had for 10 years. I was so upset mainly because my husband bought it for me our first Christmas together. He loves my hair & wanted the best brush for it. In 10 years this thing never failed me. My hair is very thick and naturally wavy. It tangles easily.
