I have "two" of these great little razors. I carry one in the car, and use one at home, when I'm not using the "blade" (safety razor) to shave. It's maybe not as "quick" as a larger electric razor, but this little guy shaves nice and close, and I keep an extra "head" for it (them.) ! Batteries? Two AA batteries, and you're up and running again ! I highly recommend this little razor !

They say 'You Get What You Pay For.' However, in this case, you get a lot more. Braun is a solid brand and this is an excellent product. Yes, it's at the lowest end of the price and features range. But, it does an excellent job of giving a close shave and it has to be the most simple device to own and operate. I love it - and I've only had it for a short while. One great thing is the rotating cover. When you rotate the protecting cover to the base, it unlocks the 'on' button. This serves to purposes. First, you'll never accidentally turn on the shaver, like while it's in a bag on a long trip. You can't lose the cap, since it's integrated into the shaver. So, you won't damage the shaving head as it's always protected when not in use. Great design. I shave with a regular blade, but go nuts if I miss anything while shaving. So, the benefits of buying this, to me, include: 1) This is a great device to have around to touch-up a shave. 2) I use it to keep sideburns close between haircuts. 3) While nobody like to talk about it, it can do ear/nose hair that may show-up unexpectedly. Just running around the outside of an ear gets any fuzz or random hairs. 4) It can keep the hair trimmed on the back of your head / neck - also between haircuts. Overall, I like it as it does things you can't (or wouldn't want to) do with a razor. It was dirt cheap but a solid product. I will be getting one for my 13-year-old son in the near future. I'd let him use mine, but the kid breaks everything. My next review will be if he owns it and doesn't break it. He's a perfect test for the durability of any product.

Well made, love the new design, No hair dust like the older ones, used these travel type for years every day, had this one over a year, still looks and works great.

I've had one of these for years. This is my backup since the first is still working. I've even taken is it backpacking since it weighs so little and I can use the AA batteries in other devices. I would only get the model with the trimmer. You will need it for the longer hairs that the shaver will miss. This model doesn't have one.

Its not the best shaver in the world but suits my needs just fine. I'm a grunt in the army and have anywhere from several days to 2 weeks in the field with no electricity. Its easy to throw this in my ruck and get a decent enough shave in the morning without having to attempt to dry shave with a regular razor.

In regards to the price, you get what you pay for. It actually does do its job, but after much hair pulling and going over the same spot, over and over again. I highly recommend any user use something like Williams Lectric Shave to go with this, otherwise it's an electric shaving nightmare. I'll still keep it for trips so I don't risk my Series 9 getting stolen, but again, you get what you pay for.

This portable shaver is designed well. I have used it as alternative to shaving with a blade razor. I have also followed up with this shaver for a very smooth feeling on my face. I highly recommend this shaver.
