    • Nice headphones, doesn't come with a charging or power adapter
DISLIKES: I really loathe companies that DO NOT SUPPLY power adapters or chargers with their products, anything that requires power or recharging SHOULD ALWAYS come with the appropriate cables and power supplies to make them work. It is one of my BIGGEST COMPLAINTS when I purchase an item, and then I find out I have to purchase adapters or chargers or cables that SHOULD come with the device. This item came with 1 charging cable for TWO earphones, and 1 UBS cable to connect to the TV set for powering the transmitter to the headphones, NOT ALL TV's have USB ports or they only have ONE and it may already be in use. My soundbar has one, but it would NOT power the transmitter on, my TV USB port WOULD NOT power the transmitter either. So I had to go and try and find an adapter to be able to use these headphones. Not only that,I had to buy a 2nd cable so I could charge them both at the same time, since they only supply one charging cable for a set of 2 earphones, each requiring their own cable ti charge. Because of these two things, that's why this review only has a rating of 3-Stars, had there been an adapter fr powering the transmitter, a 2nd adapter for recharging the headphones and 2 charging cables, instead of 1, then this would have in all probability been a 5-Star review, especially for the cost of this item, those additional items should have been included, otherwise the price is somewhat too high for what you get. It's difficult to find the charging port flap on the earphones to open it to plug in the USB cable to charge the earphones. I would have chosen some other color other than a black rubberized covering on black based earphones. If the rubber covering had been white, red, yellow or any other lighter color, other than black or dark grey, it would have been easier to locate and open on the correct side. Can't turn off the female voice prompts when the headphones are turned on or off, having to wait for that when deciding to use them or put them away can be quite annoying at times. LIKES: Independent volume control for each user of the headphones. Color coded, so you know which headphone goes with the correct number on the transmitter. Instructions say only headphones #1 can be used by itself, but headphones #2, can't without headphone one being in use. I found this is inaccurate, and yes, the red headphones will also work independently from headphones #1. So you can use either the black, #1 or the red #2 headphones by themselves or both together, just select which headphone you're using on the transmitter. Sound quality is decent, however, if you're using a soundbar with your TV, you need to MUTE your soundbar, if you don't, you'll get an echo effect from the headphones, this was using the optical cables. Not sure how other non-optical audio cables would work. Distance is unknown, as I haven't tested them throughout my house yet. But they work fine in bed, while my wife is sleeping, I can relax and watch TV at whatever volume level that is comfortable for me using the headphones. I can recommend them, but with the caveat you'll need to find or buy some USB adapters to charge your headphones and one to power the transmitter to use them. Especially if you want to charge both earphones at the same time will require either their own adapter for each headphone and cable, so a total of 3 USB adapters are needed, 2 for recharging and 1 for powering the transmitter. Or for recharging the headphones, a powered USB [electrically powered] hub connected to a computer USB port, or a powered stand-alone USB "charging" hub with multiple charging ports to plug the headphones into for charging. Fortunately, I do have such a powered USB hub connected to my computer and has 4 high power charging ports that are powered, so I have a 4 port charging area set up near my computer for charging all my rechargeable items. Which does work very well for recharging these headphones, and other rechargeable items I use frequently. ... show more

I'M REPLACING MY SONY SET THAT I HAVE HAD FOR MANY YEARS, AS THE SOUND QUALITY IS NOT AS GOOD AS I WOULD LIKE AND WANTED AN UPGRAD. THE AVANTREE 'S WERE RECOMMENDED TO ME AND AS A SINGLE EDERLY LADY AND WAS NOT WANTING TO TRY TO INSTALL THEM AS IM NOT AT ALL A TECHY PERSON, BUT ONCE I WATCHED AVANTREE'S VIDEO'S I JUMPED IN AND HAD THEM UP AND RUNNING IN LESS THEN AN HOUR. GREAT INSTRUCTIONS. THEY ARE VERY COMFORTABLE AND LOVE THE BLUETOOTH. LESS WIRES ALL OVER. THE REASON FOR THE FOUR STARS IS I'M NOT AT ALL HAPPY WITH THE VOLUME AND ON/OFF SWITCH. VERY HARD TO USE. I'VE BEEN TAKING OFF MY HEAD PHONES TO ADJUST THE VOLUME. ALSO, NOT LIKING TO HAVE TO CHARGE THEM. MY FAULT DIDN'T SEE THAT IN THE DESCRIPTION ABOUT HAVING TO CHARGE THEM. ALL IN ALL A GOOD PRODUCT. I am amazed at how easy these are to set up and use. Bluetooth never works this well, but it just works. They can go extremely loud and block outside sound well. They charge quickly and last the billed 40 hours between charges. They're expensive, for sure, but they work and they're the only item in the market that does work so well. ... show more

    • More simple than I was expecting. Great job.
Sound quality is great, and setup was surprisingly simple. I was intimidated by the instructions thinking it was going to be more complicated than it actually was. Simply connecting it to the TV and then hitting the button to pair each was all it took. The signal broadcaster comes on automatically when my TV is turned on, and if I want to use the earphones I just press power on the headset and it pairs automatically. Sounds starts coming through the headset and I can hit mute on the TV to block the TV's speakers while listening normal volume on the headset. Very pleasantly surprised at what a great value this was for a cheap price and decent sound quality. I thought this would be much more complicated, such as pairing via Bluetooth etc., but it was even more simple than that. Low-tech simplicity at its best. ... show more
