First let me say Iāve been looking at the APM for months, but Iām a Sony fan. So, Iāve had my Sony WH-1000XM4 for about 2 years. 1st was a refurbished unit and so glad I got the insurance! Something went bad on the left side and it would get ringing feedback increasing in volume until unbearable. Had to send them back 3 times to Asurion who āfixedā them. They didnāt do jack. They did replace the ear pads on the first try with some crappy hard aftermarket ones. Replaced on the second try with the right pads but the feedback issues were still there. 3 times and you can request replacement or refund. I opted for refund and went to Best Buy and got a new pair and in the blue I wanted. Theyāre wonderful, I love them. Noise cancellation is excellent and after adjusting with their app they sound fantastic to me. But I was still wanting to check out the APM. Price is a bit crazy but I decided to order renewed and insurance again JIC. Now that Iāve had them about 4 days (Iām sorry Sony) Iām in love all over again! They sound absolutely amazing. The spatial audio really works well (Sony has a similar feature but itās only supported by certain streaming services not including Apple). The soundstage opens up to something really fantastic sounding. Now reasons not to buy and why others may have returned theirs (thank you whoever sent mine back). THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, if you donāt have an Apple device to connect to any only android or a PC, DO NOT BUY THESE! You will be seriously disappointed. You wonāt be able to EQ them at all unless you use a 3rd party app or your device has EQ built in. I was very disappointed when I first connected and listened so some music, they were not good. Flat sounding with hardly any bass or treble! Like WTF, this canāt be right. Googled some information and instructions on how to properly set up Apple AirPods and the Max. You have to go into settings and go through a hearing test procedure that tunes the EQ specifically to your own ears. Listening to tones very similar to going to an audiologist. The results after that were WOW, what a difference nice broad response, solid bass, not quite as good as Sony who allows EQ from their app and have a special bass enhancement system, but solid and good definition. The soundstage opened up also with any stereo material. Then when you turn on spatial audio itās WOW again, Apple did a really good job of processing the music and not messing it up. It goes from just headphones to room phones, the sound is around you! You can opt to let the headphones track your head movements or not. If you turn the music stays where it was, but after a few seconds of you donāt turn back they recenter you again. I really held off a long time as the price on these is really extreme compared to what the competition are selling as āequivalentsā. The build quality on the Apple really separates them from the pack. With steel headband and aluminum components they should be very durable. Sony and Bose are, wellā¦ just plastic. As to lack of folding ability, I really donāt care, 99% of my listening is at home. I use earbuds if Iām outside or working out. The holder isā¦ interesting. Different than what Iām used to but seems to work just fine around the house. Now Iāll try to wrap up with a comment about other reviews complaining about no power cords or chargersā¦I DONāT CARE!! I HAVE TOO MANY NOW!! lol, really if you have Apple products around youāre going to have a lightning cable and charger somewhere! Then, noise cancellation reactionā¦can I say WOW again? Really, my Sony are good but these are significantly better. Things I canāt hear or barely heard around the house with Sony that I donāt hear with APM. The TV, my wife, fans, well almost anything! Sony works well but their around ear system still rest on my Dumbo sized ears! lol. The Apple are really around the ear with a little room! This helps with noise control and comfort. And finally, comfortā¦the Sony are very comfortable but the plastic cups get hot and sweaty after a few minutes. The Apple are much better in that respect. My only criticism I guess would be comfort though. The clamping force on my head is significant by Iām getting used to it. I know my ears are large enough but I donāt think my head is oversized! Not ridiculous but definitely more than Sony, but the do stay in place well. Summary If you have an iPhone or Apple devices to use these with and take the time to set them up properly youāll be very happy. If youāre not using Apple, WALK AWAY NOW!! 1/17/24 3 months later and the refurbished Max went bad. Could not stay connected with Bluetooth so fortunately within the Amazon return window. Returned, credited and also reimbursed for the Asurion warranty. So, this was bad but I liked them a lot so I went out and picked up a brand new Pro Max. Not using the spatial sound much but the noise cancellation on the Max is awesome! Having foundation repairs done and staying in an upstairs bedroom with these on and I can hardly hear the industrial tools in use. These are far and away the best NC headphones Iāve owned. Still highly recommended but didnāt want to roll the dice on refurbished this time around!

BEST NOISE CANCELATION EVER!!
Color: Sky Blue
Size: One Size
Style: Over-Ear Headphones
These are the best headphones I've ever gotten. They are 100% worth all my money. I love that they're actually Apple AirPods Maxes! These are real and not fake at all. They fit my ears well and are comfortable for short periods of time. I definitely recommend a comfort headband for the top. That's the part that hurts the most for me when I use them for long periods of time. Other than that, they are easy to use and have the best sound quality I've ever listened to. (based on the other over-ear headphones I've tried). I highly recommend you get these if you're wanting a pair, but don't want to spend a ton of money buying them new.

Not the best/kind of gross
Color: Green
Size: One Size
Style: Over-Ear Headphones
I was really excited to buy these because as a college student I am always balling on a budget, but honestly these were not refurbished very nicely. The right ear does this static sound once you put them on, and you can continuously hear that throughout the time you are wearing them, with or without music. Based on my research, this could be due to build up condensation if someone tries to workout in them or itās very humid outside. Kind of gross since that was my first unboxing experience, but I guess you get what you pay for. Also, there were several wear and tear marks on the side of the ears, and the top headband portion has some build up from the previous owner. The fit of the headphones were a bit big as the headband piece is not as stiff due to previous owner I believe. When I did initially connect them to my iPhone, it did show the previous ownerās name, and I was a bit worried because I do not know whether or not they were able to find these headphones on ā Find my iPhoneā and have my location until I put under my account. So that could be a security and privacy issue for some. Overall, the quality was not up to par with other Apple products I have bought over the years, but again that is due to these being reused/refurbished. I am glad I was able to review this type of product, but I will definitely be returning and will most likely buy a new pair of AirPod Maxās at the Apple Store when I can save up another $100 or so.

Apple AirPods Max (Renewed)
Color: Pink
Size: One Size
Style: Over-Ear Headphones
These are truly premium over-ear headphones. The sound quality is outstanding, offering a rich, detailed, and immersive listening experience. The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is incredibly effective, making it perfect for blocking out distractions on a commute or in a busy office. The Transparency Mode is also fantastic for staying aware of your surroundings without removing the headphones. They feel substantial and well-built, and the mesh canopy is surprisingly comfortable for long periods. Setup with other Apple devices is instant and seamless. The main drawback? The price point and the Smart Case are a bit awkward and don't offer the best protection. Overall: If you're deep in the Apple ecosystem and prioritize top-tier audio and noise cancellation, the AirPods Max (especially renewed) are a great, luxurious choice.

I'm glad I purchased these, I was really thinking of getting a pair of brand new APM's. Thankfully I found these, they are in the bestest shape but, not excellent I did see a couple scratches on them and the packaging got to get 10 times better they came in a brown box š¦ the headphones was in protective packaging with a regular charging cord and the delivery service UPS need to be more attentive with people's packages, my package was left outside I was not notified nor my doorbell was not ringed, anybody could have took it, but thank god that everything works-out šš¾..... other than that, they smell amazing really soft material they are soooo pretty I can't wait to dress them up and the sound quality is great, nice and crisp, the noise cancellation is phenomenal I'm really happy with my purchase thank you šš„°š©·

Amazing headphones, just smelled awful...
Color: Space Gray
Size: One Size
Style: Over-Ear Headphones
The headphones I received are legit apple airpod max headphones. They have AMAZING sound quality, and noise cancellation, overall just terrific headphones (I am a musician and pay a lot of attention to EQ as I record, so I know what good sound quality is supposed to sound like). However, upon opening the box there was a smell that wafted forth into the room like a mythical swamp beast decided to have a spa day with a herd of wet dogs after they rolled in a field of fermented durians and then decided to camp out in a damp basement for a week. It was literally so bad even my cat ran away screaming! My partner walked into the room and asked who forgot to wear deodorant after running their marathon... I knew what I was getting myself into buying a used pair of headphones, but damn the last person who owned these was STINKY. Even the earcups were holding on to their lives after their abuse because they literally disintegrated in my hands after two uses of the headphones. The foam had turned to dust from what I am assuming was the Medusa of scents who wore these poor earcups around their head! That wasn't even a big deal to me though as those are easily replaceable, and a big source of the smell anyways so I was more than happy to replace them. Even still, the smell persisted on the headband and the actual headphones even after cleaning, UV treatment, and other sterilization techniques for electronics that I am deciding to call it quits and return these. So, in short these are amazing headphones but they may smell like the previous owner. To whoever decides to buy this specific pair of headphones next, I hope that I was able to reduce the scent of the person before me because these truly are awesome headphones and don't deserve whatever pestilent body odor is stuck to them like a leech on a redneck. Good luck, and I hope they do you well
