TL;DR, i’m glad I gave it a couple days to fully inflate and firm up. Though a tiny bit sore from it being new, I woke up with more flexibility in my back and no numbness issues or pain overnight. I’m going to try to write a progressive review over time. I’ll try to update after one week, one month, six months, one year, etc. and I’ll deduct stars if I find any issues. This isn’t my first memory foam mattress and I wanted to state that because I know it makes a difference in the reviews. My last mattress was an Ashley signature medium firm. I also have a Walmart memory foam mattress in queen size, though I’m not sure of the firmness level for that one. I prefer medium firm since I’m a side sleeper. I’m 5’1”, have an ample bottom, thoracic outlet syndrome, and weigh 175 pounds, so I need something firm enough to keep my spine in alignment with enough cushion to support my curves and pressure points to avoid my arms going numb. My biggest issue with memory foam mattresses is when they start to develop the sinkhole. I’ve had my Ashley mattress for 6 1/2 years and I probably should have replaced it at the five year mark. I don’t feel like memory foam mattresses have nearly as long of a lifespan as inner spring mattresses. I feel like the Ashley mattress held up to the average of 5 to 6 years. I was able to move the box to an upstairs floor by myself, however, I lift weights and utilized proper body mechanics to primarily use my legs. The box does say it is just under 100 pounds and to use team lift. The mattress was easy to remove from the box and unroll. Within five minutes of opening the plastic, the mattress was nearly fully inflated, though I did not put a measuring tape to it. I DID do the thing where you can can’t resist and laid on it right away anyway. It was at this point that I started to freak out because this mattress was WAY too soft. I even opened my app to check and see that I didn’t order something else on accident. I know that returning mattresses, especially memory foam ones, is a real pain when they’re out of the box. So I decided to give it some time since it was just opened to see if it improved over time. I laid on it again the next morning, and it had firmed up a little bit, so I decided to leave it for another night since I had to assemble the new bed frame I ordered as well. By the second morning, it had firmed up significantly and I started to be hopeful that this would be the firmness I was looking for. It was left in a separate room for about 48-50 hours undisturbed in total. After sleeping on it for the first night, I woke up with only a little soreness. This is not unexpected when sleeping on a new mattress of any kind. I did have more flexibility in my spine meaning it was more supported to stay aligned overnight. I had no issues with numbness overnight or when I woke up, and though sore, I did not have any pain. The top few inches of the mattress are pretty soft so don’t let that freak you out if you’re looking for something firm. I personally like that because it provides the cushion I need for my curves and to support pressure points. The deeper foam layers were definitely much firmer after being left to fully inflate for those couple of days undisturbed. This was definitely an improvement on my old mattress and I’m pretty pleased with it, having only slept on it for one night so far. I’m very hopeful that this will be the mattress I was hoping for at a reasonable price that’s affordable in today’s economy. I can’t really speak to staying asleep longer or waking up less since my toddler still co-sleeps with me and flops around and kicks me all night. I also can’t speak to the cooling factor since I use a waterproof mattress protector that tends to negate any cooling effects. Amazon won’t let me upload my unboxing video. I decided it was finally time to replace my very old mattress. I got on Amazon to see what was available. I found the Novilla Queen Size Mattress, 10 Inch Queen Memory Foam Mattress with Breathable Comfort Foam & Removable Cover Mattresses in a Box for Cool Touch & Pressure Relief Meduim Firm. The price was right and the reviews were good so I ordered this mattress. The mattress arrived rolled up in a cardboard box. The instructions are a bit cryptic, just pictures. It was easy to figure out that I needed to unroll the mattress and remove the plastic. Not too difficult. I thought that these roll up mattresses needed to expand over a period of time. The instructions that came with the mattress only had a picture of the mattress rolled out, with a very tiny clock. Not sure what that was supposed to mean. I did some research and discovered that you should wait at least 24 hours before sleeping on the mattress. I slept on the mattress the next night. Very nice mattress! I like a firm mattress. This mattress has a foam layer but it is still firm enough for me. I slept better and felt more refreshed than I have in years! When I lay on my back on the mattress, I feel like I am floating in the clouds! It seems to sleep cool as advertised. I would highly recommend the Novilla Queen Size Mattress to anyone looking for a new mattress.

I recently got this Novilla mattress for my new apartment, and I really like it! At first I ordered a queen by mistake, then I changed to a full size, which fits my bed perfectly. The mattress is very comfortable and just the right size for me. Before this, I was using an old mattress with a box spring – it was not so comfortable and felt strange. This one is much better. It came rolled in a tall box, easy to carry, and after opening, it grew to full size in one day. The height is also good – I don’t use a bed frame, just keep it on the floor, and it still feels great to sleep on. Soft but not too soft, and the support is good. I sleep on my side and back, and feel much better now – no back pain or shoulder pain anymore. Also, it has no bad smell, and the material feels safe and clean. My partner also likes it. We sleep better now. For the price, I think it’s a very good deal. I am happy with this purchase.
