I have a Samsung smart TV that doesnt have 3.5 mm AUX ports . I have a set of older speakers with only AUX ports. What to do to get these to work together? This gadget is the answer. Basically, It converts the signal coming from my new fangled TV to something my old fangled speakers can understand. The directions to set it up are easy to understand. When I first set it up (its actually very easy, and you can probabaly figure it out without instructions) I was hearing alot of feedback from my speakers. They easily explain fixes for this - in my case, the 3.5 mm end was not pushed all the way into the little power pack. Once I did that - it all worked great. I'm very happy with this purchase and very gratified to be able to continue to use speakers that I've had forever and wanted to keep. My TV sounds great now. ... show more

It worked to enable an older 5.1 system with the older green 3.5 PC computer type port once changing to the PCM setting. A similar product using the RCA audio ports didn't. Of course the limited stereo results aren't ideal, but this thing gets the job done. I'll get a new eARC compatable system down the road, but this suffices for now. ... show more

Worked with smart TV on YouTube, but once I switched it to the hbo max, disney plus, hulu, or netflix apps, it stopped. I went into the expert settings(in my sound settings on my tv) and saw the option to change "digital output audio format - from Dolby digital, to PCM." Bazinga. Thanks guys good product 👍 Will let you know if it poops out on me, but for the price I'm not gonna be let down too hard :) yay headphones on my Samsung tv. Edit: extremely loud popping noises, just a warning. I think it's from the 5v power cable when in motion(which has unfortunately pooped out on me.) Will be getting replacement cable ... show more

Like another reviewer, my TV only has Digital Optical audio output and wanted to connect my bluetooth earbud case transmitter. Plugged in the optical cable to the TV and the supplied power cable to a USB outlet plug. Worked like a charm. I didn't need to change the PCM setting, because I think that's all my TV has and no Dolby. The only issue is controlling the volume. The unit has a volume knob, but it's out of reach over by the TV. So I have to keep both earbuds in and use them to control volume. The TV remote volume won't work since it's using the Digital Out source. ... show more
