It is a simple plug and play system, just be sure to hook up the micro USB wire to a power supply to make the rca to hdmi converter work. The 1080p output is stable, and the image crispness completely exceeded my expectations for a budget adapter. Good Product, Excellent Customer Service

Product arrived packaged very well, including excellent product documentation, with email and US phone number for Customer Service. I bought this to have TV digital audio output fed into my stereo receiver for better speaker sound output With TV output format set at PCM and wiring properly connected, I initially had trouble not getting any audio output from my speakers. I was glad for the US phone number for Customer Service and called them about my trouble. Katy was very helpful in diagnosing the problem. It turns out there are protective, tiny white plastic tube sleeves covering the ends of the optical cable which must be removed before connecting to the optical ports. With those removed, the system worked great. I highly recommend this product, particularly with their very responsive Customer Service.

Works really well. Doesn’t have a noticeable effect on sound quality. Uses usb for power and comes with everything you need to connect it. Super easy to connect. As it’s just an adapter of sorts you can’t control the volume from it. A bit annoying that it needs power as I wanted something simple with limited cords but it works great. Can’t complain much it does what it says it does

I have a weird use case. I have a HD projector and an 85" LCD TV. To sync the images I cast to a streaming box at the projector, then send the image and sound out to my LCD TV with a 50' fiber optic HDMI cable, then I send the audio from the TV through a 100' Toslink optical cable to this converter box, then in to a mixer board and out through XLR cables to my left and right powered speakers. So far it's working, and I don't have lip-sync issues. It's my attempt at budget pro-sound. I probably need to work on making the setup more redundant with spares so that it can recover from a problem during a show with minimal disturbance. I think I have covered the most likely failure modes but a bad converter box could spoil the sound for our "big game" party. So fingers crossed that it keeps working. As far as the product goes, it seems fine. I needed an 1/8" TRS to dual RCA cable to get the stereo audio in to my mixer board. The only issue is the box is light and my Toslink and 1/8" TRS to dual RCA cables are stiff so the box kind of floats around where the cables want it to be. I guess I should work on cable management and mount the box somehow but that's a project for later. For the price it seems great and will be great if it is reliable but the form factor and light weight make me delete a star because it goes where it wants to go more than where I want it. If that's a concern for people they should know it.

Can't make it work

I can't make it work. I've tried everything I know to try, thought the problem was our TV so I tried it on another one, nothing. No sound on the stereo. I've waited a long time to review, thinking it was operator error, but I've given up. I'll try something else
