I was looking for an automatic feeder so that I could feed an outside cat while I'm away. I googled best feeders, and this one got the top reviews, so I gave it a shot. To begin with, it was easy to assemble and connect to wifi. The app is well laid out and easy to use. You can either push a button to feed whenever you want, or set it to feed on a schedule. I've done both, and both have worked flawlessly. I like the fact that it has a camera, because it allows me to see the cat I want to feed when I know he's there, rather than just having a bowl of food on the deck that the raccoons can eat before my cat even arrives. The camera is clear and has a wide angle lens that allows me to see a good portion of the deck. I schedule a meal for him in the early morning before I'm awake. The feeder allows you to control the amount of food too, which is a great feature. Speaking of raccoons, I did go out one morning to find that something, I assume a raccoon, had tried to break into the feeder, knocking it over and pulling the plug from the wall. It was unsuccessful, the unit held firm and didn't allow any food to be stolen. I assume this deterred any future break ins, because it hasn't happened since, but if it does I'll use the supplied anchor and anchor the feeder to the wall. All in all, a very solid unit that has served my purpose perfectly.

This is such an amazing product, I definitely recommend it to everyone. It’s perfect for feeding animals on a timed schedule through the app. I love that you can view your pet through a camera and make sure they are eating the food and it just amazing because you can measure how much your dog is really eating daily. I also used this recently to feed the outdoor feral cats that live around my house while I was out of town because I didn’t want them to go hungry while I was gone. I put it outside in my patio area so it wouldn’t get wet if it rained & I set a schedule in the app to have the food dispensed at a certain time each day & then I could also view the camera through the app & see the cats coming to get the food. It’s such a cool product & everything works so well. I also love that you can screw it into the wall or whatever you choose so that your dog or cat can’t knock it over or it can’t fall over. I absolutely love this automatic feeder. I think it’s great for people with cats so that just incase they have to leave the cat/cats for 1-2days they have a way to feed them on a set schedule & they have a way to check in and see their animal. I have 2 dogs & my German Shepard is fascinated with this feeder & LOVES eating out of it. She stands by it & waits for the feeder to release food. 😂 Even if I have food in a regular bowl she will wait for the automatic feeder to eat. However my little dog is a little scared of it & it’s going to take some getting used to before he will eat out of it on the regular. PROS/CONS: I LOVE THAT IT HAS A CAMERA!!!! The quality is amazing during the day & night. It has a couple tiny red lights that come on when it gets dark for night mode & the picture is clear either way. I personally wish the camera was a little higher or in a spot where you can see the animal better when they are up close but for small animals the camera will just show a really close up of their face when they are eating. I was SHOCKED with how wide the camera view is, I can see my entire kitchen through the camera (in the app) I can even see higher up than the counters. I don’t really have any CONS. I’ve been testing it for 1month before reviewing & have had absolutely no issues. I just wish I would have gotten it sooner. The sound is also great. I love that you can talk to your pet through the camera while you are at work or running errands. It’s super easy to take apart & clean as well. And I love that it came with a USB cord AND a wall cube. You can also dispense food by pressing the “feed” button on the machine. It also has a “record” button and a “reset” button on the machine. But you can also manage it all through the app & set a schedule or press the button everyday through the app & you can change the amount that comes out and everything. Super user friendly and easy. SET UP: It was so simple to set this up. I was surprised. I just hooked a couple pieces together & plugged it in & connected WiFi & scanned a QR code & that was it. I love when they make things user friendly & easy. 😂

This has saved me a few times when I’ve been away from the house longer than expected and wasn’t able to feed my dog at his time! Upper canister where dog food goes is on the flimsier side.

We have two outside dogs. We use the automatic dog feeders to feed them and also check on them if we are away. We connected them to our wifi, have dogs on schedule. The feeders camera is the best, we can speak to dogs and see dogs/dog area. We protected our wiring and feeder using a custom box we made and outdoor outlets. We are very happy with our feeders. It gives us peace of mind to know are dogs are covered. The feeders will notify you for every successful or not successful feed. One of my dogs doesnt eat all their food, so the feeder may not push more out if food area is blocked. It notifies me and I can watch to see what is going on. Was able to go on vacation for 4 days with husband, left dogs and they were happy and fed when we got back. Greatest tool ever, customer service is the best. Got a replacement part within a week of asking. Great buy and highly recommend. Amazing company.

Great except it doesn't seem to feed the same everytime and it tends to auto change feed schedule or doesn't feed when scheduled. A gentle nudge of the device drops food (my dog figured out if he nudges it then he gets food). Large kibble does not work well in the device because it only drops a few kibble pieces not a serving size.

This feeder is amazing and makes life so much easier for pet care and establishing a feeding routine! We use ours for an outside property guard dog. Whether we are home or away, we can rest easy knowing our dog is always on her routine. We love the ability to see and talk to her too! We actually got two, the larger 12L size for regular feeding and a smaller 4L size to dispense treats at command through the app. There are other features that are available through the app that are a subscription service; however, we do not use them. The app allows you to see, talk, and dispense on command or at pre-set times, without any additional charge. The app was easy to connect and navigate and we are extremely happy with our purchase. Highly recommend!!

I chose these over others because they were sleek and looked better and I wanted them to go with my decor. The window into the hopper is nice because you can see when you need to refill. The app was easy to use and I was able to add two feeders without issue. Any recording you add for your dogs doesn't play until after the food starts dropping out, which defeats the purpose, in my opinion, because they respond to the sound of the food hitting the bowl anyway. It wasn't difficult to figure out the measurements - 10 portions equaled about 2 cups of DIamond Naturals beef dog food. I'm mostly home and watch when this feeds to make sure the portions seem right. One time, one dog's food just kept coming out and was maybe 50% more than it should've been, but otherwise the measurements were pretty consistent. While this allows up to 20 portions, so in theory, 4ish cups, there's no way that much is coming out because of the slope in the back of the bowl. It causes the food to fill up the bottom and just build up and back up into the chute - the slope keeps food from just dropping on top of the pieces already in the bowl. The spinning mechanism inside wouldn't allow food to drop out when the chute is open once the food is backed up. My issue, and the reason I had to return these, is that they are VERY lightweight and come apart when they're tipped. The hopper sits on top of the motor housing and you set it on, then turn just about a 1/4". This is not enough to keep the hopper on if tipped. The snap on lid pops right off if tipped. The feeder comes with a plastic plate and screws that I attached to the baseboard after one of my dogs tipped a feeder and ate several cups of food. After attaching to the wall/baseboard, you lift up the feeder to line up the holes on the back of the feeder, then slide the feeder down. There's a LOT of play with the anti-tip piece in place, presumably so you can lift the bowl out, which sits partly under the feeder. Well, this allows the feeder to still be tipped. I watched the camera as I left my house the day after the tipping incident, and within 10 seconds my dog was trying to tip the feeder and within the 45 seconds it took me to get back to my house, he had tipped it. Both of my dogs are 80 lbs and one would never attempt to tip it because the movement would scare her, and the other is pretty dopey, but he managed to figure out in less than a minute how to tip this with the wall attachment piece being used. If you have a bigger, food-motivated dog, this probably won't work for you unless you build something around the tops to not allow tipping. I ended up going with a much uglier feeder that has really sticky feet, a wider base, and uses screwing and locking mechanisms on all parts, so even if it tips, I don't think the food will spill out.

We’re pleased with this feeder. It works well, is reliable, and the app is pretty good. It’s fun to see our cat race to the feeder when it’s feeding time. I gave it four stars because we’ve realized that our cat will stick her paw up into the chute where the food comes out. There are flexible vanes or little blades that rotate when the feeder operates. She’s figured out that she can reach up in there to flex one of the little blades to make some food drop into the bowl any time she wants. She isn’t getting extra food; she’s just able to get a small portion of the food that is ready to drop at the next feeding time. She may get half a tablespoon, something like that. The manufacturer should consider a small flapper that would only swing one direction to let food fall out but would block a cat from reaching in there.
