After 20 years of having chickens and never having any problems, a raccoon came to visit one night and took out a couple of my newer chickens. Changes had to be made. We aren’t always home to let our girls out and lock them up again at night. Nervous about this product we were so excited to see it actually work and our ladies learn to use it so fast. Only disappointment was that after a few days, the product malfunctioned. It would close at night but wouldn’t open in the morning. Spent time double checking to make sure that it was set for photo sensor mode. Even called Amazon support, they were awesome by the way. When it was determined that the sensor wasn’t working properly, Amazon sent me out a new one. Going on a week now, it’s working great so far. Looking forward to going out of town and our girls being able to get out, roam the yard for the day and be secure at night.

I want to set it on a schedule. The directions are incorrect and I haven't gotten it to work. The door seems to function fine. But it closes too early and the timing setting does not work.

Works well most of the time, although it won’t open on a foggy morning. I have to check every morning to make sure the door opened. At least it closes consistently at night.

When we first got it and set it up in June 2023, it worked great, but after 2 months it stopped working correctly. Sometimes it opens sometimes it doesn’t, and then it closes whenever it wants and locks the chickens out. Go with a better quality auto door not this one.

The door looks nice and takes up less space due to the roll up door but the operation is less than impressive. The door works well on the dusk to dawn setting but the instructions in the manual on how to change the settings to a timed opening and closing are not easily understood or accomplished.

The media could not be loaded. I'm rewriting this review because the manufacturer wrote back with the information as Amazon couldn't provide. It would of gotten 5 stars if Amazon couldn't of provided a copy of the chat that I had with them. As for the product it self, it's great, but still working out some issues with it. As you can see we don't use it for chickens we use it for entry for our cats.

This is relatively easy to install - however the frame does not leave a lot of "lip" to overlap the existing entryway and we found it rather difficult to attach. Otherwise, this was a cost-effective option and has worked beautifully to open and close our coop using only solar panels. Would definitely purchase again and would recommend this brand.

First automatic chicken coop door that we ordered was defective in that it did not open and close the door using the light sensor mode. We could never get the lights on the module to flash green as per the instructions for setup. Returned this unit and the replacement unit works great! Auto open with daylight in the morning and auto close with nightfall.
