Came with a carry case, which is great. Initially the setup of the reader was a bit confusing trying to figure out the code reader password if you don't connect it to your laptop, so suggest you read the setup directions completely. After that setup was a breeze. The process to get the password is also in the detailed description text on Amazon. Using it was extremely simple after downloading the vehicle information. Helped diagnose two SRS warning light issues so they can be fixed. Connecting and uploading the detected codes later was also simple. Overall well worth the $s.

AVOID AUTEL handheld scanners from Amazon! Don't EVEN!!! It does not work as advertised. It has no model number and was manufactured in 2022. I cannot believe the distributor for this company sent me an outdated device to clear their old inventory. What a SHAM! I registered it online, but could not update the device and could not select my free car make. No "Update" option after the device was registered. Autel responded with a link to a YouTube video. Here is the reply I posted to the video: 1) There is NO MODEL NUMBER anywhere on the handheld device I purchased from Amazon. 2) The Autel distributor sent me a device manufactured in 2022!. We are in the second half of 2025. So, "thank you" to the distributor of Autel products on Amazon that wants to get rid of old inventory! 3) This video does not even match the actual website buttons. AUTEL - Update your video to match your website. 4) When trying to download and install "MaxiSuite", there are numerous DOS pop-ups and security warnings. Some of the pop-ups indicate no actual program publisher. Other pop-ups appear with a puplisher with all Chinese symbols. HUGE SECURITY RED FLAG on the software install !!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 5) If your video is from Autel North America and a customer selects "English" during setup, make the download all English with no shady software publishers. It has to be a rock-solid install from start to finish with no security red flags. I uninstalled the software, ran a security check and returned the device to Amazon!

Great device! It was a little unclear what the difference was between this (DiagLink) vs the MD802. It seems like they are identical except this one only includes downloads for one vehicle type. For additional vehicle makes/brands you will need to pay $10 per download. Worked great to clear an error code my cheapie ORBii device couldn’t clear. Provides detailed system diagnostics and talks with the various computer systems in my Sprinter T1n. Well worth the money.

It’s a good tool but lacks full support for our 2006 Toyota RAV4 without buying the Toyota module ($10.00), had a little problem with updates. I have retuned it and will be getting a JOBD scanner for Japanese cars at a lower price

Just dont. After buying this you have to fill out the equivalent to a 20 plus page job application just to register product. Then if you manage to satisfy that you have to download software to make the unit actually work and you have to pay per vehicle!!!! Also this is not compatible on apple products or some pc based tablets. The directions dont mention several critical things which caused me a lot of wasted time and frustration. I called customer service and they did sort out some of the problems. After additional problems and 4 days of attempting to load software / get this to work I got frustrated and sent it back for a return. I bought another popular brand and it works right out of the box!!! What a concept. If you google this and do some reading you will learn its known for being difficult etc etc..paying additional money per maker of car to scan bla bla. I hope this actually gets posted and it saves someone the hassle I experienced.

Great scanner for everything, includes Body Control Module, ABS, and Parking brake reset. Most cost effective I have found for the included functions. Used it to troubleshoot some Evap issues. Very easy to use and very detailed as far as how deep it gets into sensors. The live data lets you know if what you repaired is working. Would recommend to anyone needing more than a basic code reader.

This product is affordable and fairly easy to use, however, I did not see anywhere that you need to download software which comes at a price for each individual vehicle or make. Also, the device said that the first download was free which was also not the case. It was useful to me and worked just fine, I just wish that they were upfront about the software.
