Let me just say that my hair was for most of my life out of control. My hair just never stayed in place. I bought ALL the sprays, gels and even mouse out there since I was a kid in school. Nothing ever worked until I got this Aussie Gel. This gives a sleek look without shinyness which I hate. It's not a wet finish look which I love. But, if I want a really matted down hair look I just use more. If I just want it to keep my hair in place I just use a dab and repeat. The only reason I bought this gel at first was to try it and then throw it into the pile of all my other unused hair products that usually don't work for me. However, the first amount I put in my hair which should NOT be too much (maybe a quarter of a teaspoon), I put it ON my hair. not THROUGH my hair. That is the key. Then I let it dry three minutes and put it again in the same area. It's magic. It holds my hair the entire day even in this hot weather. I do also use together with this gel the Nexus Finishing Hold Spray. By accident I used these two together by first putting the gel on and after it dries I spray the Nexus on my hair. I realized that each of these two products does a specific thing and when I just use one of the two my hair does not cooperate as well. So, I use both and I'm happy beyond words.
