Love this stuff! I’ve never found a product that works better for my 3B Low Porosity hair. It does a great job at defining my curls and keeping them that way, without being crusty like other gels I’ve tried. It may be a little crusty after it first dries, but once it dries I just tossle my hair a few times and the hard edges go away. It’s surprising how natural my hair feels and looks with this product in it, and no matter how many times I stretch one of my curls out it always seems to spring back to its shape without losing definition. If I mess with my hair too much, it will start to frizz a bit, but way less than if natural or with other products I’ve tried. It also feels very light in my hair, whereas leave-ins and creams tend to weigh down my hair due to the low porosity. After using this product, I’ve never gotten more compliments and people asking me how I do my hair. I highly recommend it, especially if you have low porosity hair! PS: I don’t like my hair having too much shine to it, and one thing I’ve found that helps achieve a more matte look is sea salt spray: after a shower and quick towel dry I’ll spray a few pumps of sea salt spray into my hair, then towel dry again, and then apply the gel. This is personally one of my favourite gels as it has a really strong hold, but not enough to weigh your hair down and make you feel like you’re dragging through the mud. It’s honestly really easy to us and has quite a pleasant smell. To just get rid of the hard gel casting around my curls, I just use a small amount of oil and rub it into my hair. I’ve had this gel for over 6 months now and there’s still a lot left (a little less than half) so you honestly don’t even really need to use that much for the hold that you need. What I like to do is squeeze out a nickel sized blob in the palm of my hand and then rub my hands together so that I can rake it through the roots of my hair (outwards) and use the remaining that’s left on my hand to tame down any flyaways and use it for the bottom of my hair and scrunch upwards. Bought this to replace the hair gel I’ve been using on my wavy (2b/2c) hair. I heard so many great things about this product and had high hopes. This gel didn’t hold very well for me. The waves would fall out and go limp really fast. I think it’s because my hair is thick and heavy. The gel is probably not strong enough to handle the weight or density of thick hair. I would’ve had to use soooo much product to get it to hold and that just doesn’t seem worth it. That being said, it was very easy to work with and smelled really good! ... show more
