Received this morning and already shredding away. Seems quiet to me and working properly. I have not tried a full stack but maybe up top 10 pages so for and no straining. I really like the fine cut and impressed how much shredded paper fits into the waste bin, my last shredder cut into strips and packed poorly into the bin. I would not say this shredder is fast but it is fast enough, when shredding a stack I have time to grab the next bunch before the previous bunch has finished but only by a couple inched of paper left above the cutter slot. This is day one of my ownership. I tried the shredder and it works as expected. The noise level is low and not unpleasant. It seems to work harder with more sheets of paper. I did not push its limits.

Works as designed to, it's really nice. I would have preferred better casters and at least one that you could lock the wheel. It does smell plastic-y when running but I'm hoping it's just cuz its new. It is fairly quiet doing paper and very loud shredding discs.

Micro cut is so much better and more secure. I also have an older Fellowes cross cut shredder which has always been real good but the micro cut shredders are the way to go for security.

I purchased this mid July, 42 days after getting it, it stopped working. Shortly after Amazon’s 30 day return window. So I contacted the manufacturer & after they walked me through some troubleshooting they determined that the circuit board was bad & they promptly sent me a new shredder. I contacted them on 8.24 and by 8.29 (within 5 days) I received the replacement. That’s lightening fast. Time will tell if this will hold up as I've not put it to heavy use yet, but out of the box it seems to be solid and of good quality. I've had many shredders, some of which only lasted for a year or two and this one seems most similar to one that I had for over 13 years. It is certainly the quietest shredder I've owned and it does handle multiple sheets of paper although you can definitely hear it drag a bit with more input. I prefer the type of shredder that sits over its own waste basket. In contrast, this has a drawer attached to a taller front panel which doesn't allow me to tip and empty it without making a mess. But I have been successful in stretching a plastic bag across the drawer, which I just lift and tie (assuming I don't overfill it.) One other minor complaint is that it keeps running for a bit after the paper appears to be shredded. This is only minorly annoying because I don't like to leave the room until the machine has finished running. But overall, I am happy with my purchase. ... show more

I finally received an amazing shredder for my home and business. This little machine does it all. It's quiet, has a great capacity, and nothing gets by those teeth—no overheating issues. It's much sturdier than past purchases and an excellent value. I only wish I had more papers to shred.
