Bought these to use on my outdoor patio to make stakes for our standing lamp. The grounds a bit tough and is full of rocks. Using these I was able to get though majority of the rocks and clear up the holes much faster than by hand with my small garden shovel. This product cannot be used to drill holes in any type of soil that contains even small rocks. The steel auger bent instantly, and tip broke off in 15 minutes of use.
