Great bang for the buck

I am very impressed with this subwoofer for the price! Taking it out of the box the first thing I noticed was how well built it was. Very solid construction, gave me hope it would perform well. And it did! One thing to note is that obviously with a power level rate as it is this sub needs some room to breathe. Most off the shelf sub boxes are going to have much less volume than this sub recommends. I didn't want a custom box so I ordered the largest off the shelf box I could find which was 1.6 ft^3, still under the recommended volume for the sub. I do not push it very hard and have had no issues with it in this enclosure, but most 12" sub boxes I have seen are like 1-1.2 ft^3 so definitely be careful if you are expecting a lot out of it. The coil leads are not removable which I am not the biggest fan of, but the wire is high quality which is good. Performance wise, this thing can make some noise! I have it connected to a 1300W RMS @ 4Ohm amp and have gotten close to max power just to test without issue. It handles that power without breaking a sweat. I have had it in my daily for a few months now without issue. The bass it produces in a sealed box is tight and powerful. All of this is great, but even better is the price. With the construction of the sub I know I will ahve this in my car for a long time without issue!
