  • Very happy with this system
Easy set up. Great sound quality, no motion feedback.

  • Great System at a Great Price
This is a shockingly great system for the price. I have kept my vinyl in great shape since the mid 70s but was getting tired of running from my home office to the living room to switch sides and LPs. So I wanted something small for the office and this system delivers. I don't play at ear crunching volume, and this system delivers clear crisp playback. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • The sound
Everything sounds phenomenal, easy to set up. I recommend it for beginners or anyone who just wants a really good player to listen to music to. The looks are top tier. Quality and size is perfect.

  • Great beginner turntable
I'm very pleased with this turntable. It was an upgrade from a cheap Crosley suitcase-style record player, and the sound quality is miles ahead, comparable with the great JVC component stereo system I had in my youth back in the '80s. The speakers are small but pack a punch, especially in the bass. Setup was smooth and easy. Please note that the speakers are powered separately, so they will need to be plugged in along with the turntable itself. You can connect the turntable to a stereo receiver if you want to, but this is a standalone system that will get you playing your vinyl in a couple of minutes. Comes with a nice record-cleaning kit that seems pretty high-end. If you have the speakers set up right next to the turntable, as in my photo, the entire space needed is about 26" wide, so it fits in a compact space. Highly recommended. EDIT: I forgot to mention my one regret about this turntable, which is that it does not include an auto-return or auto-stop feature, so when your record is done, it will keep spinning for infinity until you manually stop it, which could wear down both the needle and the record if you forget and let it keep playing. Otherwise no complaints. ... show more

  • I'm a Perfectionist, So I Notice Little Problems and Discrepancies
Right out of the box I was disappointed with the purchase of this Audio-Technica turntable; I was supposed to receive a record cleaning kit. Well, the company shipped the box for the record cleaning kit, but the box was empty--not one single piece of the kit was to be found inside the box. It seems that no matter how scrupulous one is with buying on-line there is almost always a problem with the order. The turntable's sound is acceptable, but in no way, shape, or form does it compare to my older JVC Model #L-F210--a vintage 1985 model turntable that is still going strong, and that literally blows away the Audio-Technica turntable. The addition of the PreSonus Eris Series E3.5 High-Definition Media Reference Monitors (speakers for you non-technical people) is a very nice touch; the two PreSonus speakers rather forced me into rating the Audio-Technica turntable Four Stars instead of the Three Stars that it otherwise would have received. So, the pros about the Audio-Technica turntable: it is very stylish and looks great on my wall unit with my other stereo equipment; it is simple to hook up; its sound quality, while not outstanding is at least decent; and, best of all, it functions as a stand-alone system. Hook up the Audio-Technica turntable to the two PreSonus speakers in a matter of minutes and you've got a fairly decent stand-alone turntable system. The cons for the Audio-Technica turntable: as mentioned previously, the manufacturer shipped an empty box when the manufacturer SHOULD have shipped a record-cleaning kit; the turntable/speaker combination has nowhere the depth of sound that I get from a 38-year-old JVC home stereo component system; the "start" and "stop" buttons are cheap and flimsy; and the turntable does not seem durable--as in strong and rigid--it has a cheaply-manufactured "feel." If I had to do it again, I probably would have still purchased the Audio-Technica turntable, bearing in mind that the stereo equipment manufactured in this day-and-age does not come anywhere close to what was manufactured decades ago--especially from the better stereo equipment manufacturers in the previous eras. This is why I rated the Audio-Technica turntable Four Stars. ... show more

  • Quality, Reasonably Priced Turntable System
I was a “stereophile” for many years, having grown up in the golden age of vinyl and complex stereo systems. Having given away a great Sansui system several years ago due to space constraints, I found myself missing the warm and more intimate sound of my many vinyl albums. I tried out a few cheaper systems with internal speakers, some of which couldn’t even have external speakers attached, and was very disappointed with them, mostly due to awful sound quality. This system is not high end, but it’s well made with quality components and sounds really good. It’s also fairly compact, so the turntable and speakers fit nicely on top of my record cabinet. Very pleased overall; good quality, good price. ... show more

  • Works really well for the price.
This turntable and speaker combo are really nice. The speakers are outstanding . Con's no weight on the stylist arm. The threeway jack from the turnable to the main speaker was defective. Got a new one, works great. For the price the sound quality is wonderful. It is just what I was looking for.

  • BEST TURNTABLE EVER!
This product is absolutely amazing. To begin with, you get a great quality turntable that is very easy to use, and sounds amazing with all records. Apart from being from a super reliable brand, it is also very easy to use. With a click of one button the turntable does all of the work for me! The speakers sound wonderful, especially for how small they are compared to other speakers. The volume can either play super quite, or super loud, and the bass is very good speaking for the size of them. The cleaning kit that comes with this is also a great, as the brush and cleaning solution are very high quality. I strongly recommend getting this for any vinyl lover who is unhappy with there current set up! ... show more
