The first/best thing about this one is that it isn't preloaded with all the stupid, sitcom sounds - slaps, canned laughter, and so on; nope, this one has options that one puts in/onto it themselves, you program your own. My daughter is wanting to do a podcast, so I got this for her, and while it isn't as big (it's meant to be small and compact) as 3 others I've moved, it definitely is the one with a true professional feel of it; given that she has just a tablet and phone to work with, this and some basic peripherals should set her up well enough for getting going and seeing if it's really for her or not. It has equivocal functions, build quality, and so on as the others, so in that area, they're all 'the same' - as well as, oddly enough, each one had the exact same 40$ price. The programmability, and absence of pre-programmed junk, was the main reason I jumped at this one as quick as I found it. I'd prefer to see it a wee bit bigger, another set or 2 of the programmable option buttons - even if it added another 10-20$ onto the cost - it would be worth it. Still though, this should be a sweet little unit once she masters it - I'm a novice at very most, and that's stretching it - I have the kit for the sake of using it - as in a person or crew who DO know how - and enjoy - all that stuff, enabling and empowering the capacity is my angle, and being a part of whatever may be getting recorded and/or put out online - like archeology dig site work, and the greenhouse stuff. This unit would be one that's more in line with that kind of stuff as well, without all the noise/sound effects.

This Audio Mixer from Tenlamp is a nice beginning mixer for someone who wants to dabble in home recording whether it be music or podcast. The layout of the mixer is fairly easy to figure out but always recommend reading the manual to know exactly what's what. There are plenty of inputs on the back and even a few "fun" things like the auto-tune and voice changer. Not a bad piece of equipment and perfect for a teen or adult looking to record.

I got this for my 17-year-old daughter, and she absolutely loves it! She enjoys using it for streaming, gaming, and even just playing around with the voice changer and DJ effects. The setup was easy, and it works great with her PC and phone. The sound quality is clear, and the built-in noise reduction helps keep everything crisp. I knew that I shouldn't trust the vine reviews but wow, this is the worst quality sound mixer/voice board I have used yet. Absolute trash, not worth your time. -The sliding potentiometer controls are so flimsy that they feel like you're going to break them off every time you slide them. -Out of the box, two of the six sliding potentiometers clearly have electrical issues as they cause the sound to glitch and scratch. -The software on the unit is so poorly designed that switching modes will cause other settings to reset to default, at which point the unit ignores settings like reverb regardless of where the reverb was set before. -The voice changer function is literally worthless. It has what they claim to be "female voice", "male voice", etc but none of them sound anything like the description; They all sound like variations of the same low quality robot voice. Junk. -In order to reduce the number of buttons, they use an automated voice confirmation to tell you what mode you are in when you press a button. Unfortunately, the software is so poorly designed that this voice gets routed through whatever voice processing mode you have selected, apparently at max volume and clipped, such that you can barely tell what the voice is saying. Overall I wouldn't pay a dollar for this thing. Sending it back.

At this price range, this is more of a toy to get a beginner acclimated to mixing and cutting sounds. Any serious sound mixing equipment would be >$100, which I don't need or have the budget for. As a fun toy, I think its great. The price is good for a teenager, for temporary hobbyists, for travel and temporary use and for those who want to try things out before purchasing a really expensive system. I am satisfied with it as my need for sound equipment is only a couple times a year. I like the fact I can use it as an educational tool to learn what everything is for, before deciding if I want something more serious.

The media could not be loaded. It's still plastic. But nice looking and feeling plastic. Not heavy. But doesn't move around. Doesn't have front ports, but has more back ports and usb-c. Clicky and responsive. It's just better than most. Good for the price 👍
