We purchased this scooter for our son in college. He used it everyday to get around campus. The lock feature was helpful as scooter theft is a problem on campuses. It was easy to charge in his dorm room and didn’t take up much space. He was very pleased with the speed and ease of use. He was thankful to not have to walk everywhere.     • Way too unstable!
I just finished bandaging my face and knee, again. I bought two of these scooters, one for me and one for my grandson who is 12. My grandson races motorbikes, skateboards and go carts. I'm a young 54 and thought maybe it was just me, but he agrees that these scooters are too shaky and unstable for anybody. We have both wiped out multiple times from the simplest thing. Slightly uneven seam on sidewalks, a pebble and today a tiny twig barely bigger than a Matchstick took me down. I'm so disappointed that I have almost $700 invested in the scooters and am now looking for a way to spend more money to make them more stable because I'm stuck with them. We've only ridden them for short distances seven or eight times since purchasing . The tires treds are already looking worn and It's like they have no shock absorption at all. If the front wheel hits a pebble going at the medium speed the scooter gets out of control. I've had other scooters and never had this problem before. If I could return them, I definitely would. Unfortunately, I've had them for 3 months. I'm tired of both of us getting hurt. These were supposed to be for fun outings for me and my grandson to ride through the park but I've gone through too many bandages and too much pain for it to be fun. ... show more

I am a college student who has happily depended on this scooter for a few months now, and have had nothing but good experiences. Here is my review: Favorite Features (in order of importance) My favorite feature has to be the hidden suspension. This feature is a simply incredible value at the price point of $400 at which I purchased it, and a no brainer at any price below that. The convenient built-in lock is nice to have for quick stops. The scooter's "app lock" also deters thieves by locking wheels and making them turn against movement. I have had no issues with anybody taking my scooter! The green color is not often seen on other scooters. Living in a mountainous town, I figured I could try to match the surroundings. Wow, what a great choice! No other scooter that I have seen comes in this color, making it easy to identify my scooter in a bike rack full of them. The LED lights are a very unique feature that helped convince me to buy the product. Many modes are easy to switch between using the scooter's built-in controls or the mobile app. Easy to match to your favorite color or outfit! The turn signals can be helpful when on the roads, but I typically stay on sidewalks or bike paths for safety. The bag clip allows me to use a large reusable bag and get all my essentials without needing to drive. The bell is convenient as well. I have seen some other reviews complaining about the kickstand, but it has rarely, if ever, failed me. The design has been updated and is now very practical while retaining its style. Daily Use: The ALPHA is very compact and lightweight, and fits perfectly under a 4 foot folding table. I have roommates and can easily hide the scooter under the table with a cover over it. As for security, it is easily compatible with a high-security u-lock and steel cable to supplement the built-in lock for places that require more caution. The range is good for a day's use, and effortlessly gets me to my jobs, classes, and to get groceries. Charging is relatively fast given the scooter's capacity. The tires have held up remarkably well given how much I use it. Value: A great way to save gas and time, not to mention better for the environment than a car. Some trips that I could make with a car I choose to make with the scooter due to the convenience and capability. I highly recommend this scooter to anybody looking for it. In the unlikely event that any issues should arise, support is very helpful. ... show more
