Received sealed product packed with OTS manual instead of ODIN. Customer support just said "download the manual" - no replacement offered. Brand new 123A batteries immediately failed due to some extreme internal drain (wasted 5 trying to reboot the unit) you could see the batt symbol drop to zero in 1 minute. Side buttons very difficult to use and navigate thru functions. Well familiar with other ATN thermal prod. - This model was a major fail. Two tech support calls did not go well ( Pablo was very helpful and professional ) and I elected to return rather than replace the unit and wait for a better product. ... show more

When used properly the ODIN thermal monocular has a great HD thermal image. This is great for quick scans of an area weather it be close or a couple hundred yards down range. I tested it out in a couple of fields to get used to the controls and see what it is capable of. Anything that produces a heat signature can not hide. I heard my dad talk about the thermal monocular a few weeks before his b-day. He loved how it can be hand held or helmet mounted. I tired it out to see why he liked it so much. The resolution is great!!! I think my husband wants one now....
