    • Door closures are cumbersome

I am a veterinary technician and have seen and worked with many types of carriers. The top closures and front door closures of this one are NOT easy to work with. Usually there is a spring loaded assembly for the front door and sometimes the top in other carriers . This has neither and is difficult to open and shut securely with the TABS that are used. If hadn’t waited so long to put this together (and discarded the shipping material), I would have returned it without hesitation. I won’t use it and would not even donate it because I am concerned that someone not familiar with it may end up with a loose cat when trying to secure it. The rest of the carrier seems well made and size/structure is fine. If the closures were improved upon, this would be a good product. But if you can’t feel secure that your pet won’t get loose or that anyone else trying to close it won’t do it correctly, it’s not worth the chance. The owner is not always present to instruct the vet staff how to close this carrier and they should not have to guess. This was not a inexpensive carrier but I guess I have to take a loss on it. ... show more

This was a lot better quality than I was expecting. It’s the perfect size for my little 9 pound cat to rest in. She’s older and I wanted something small I could transport her in my car with if I leave home for a few days since I don’t leave her alone anymore like I used to after some health issues. I got a little bed I put inside and covered the carrier with a blanket to make it cozy so when we’re not going somewhere she can use it as a place to hang out in. I just took the door off to make it easier to access. She seems to really like it and got in immediately. I know some reviews mentioned not liking how there’s tabs to keep the door closed, but I actually really like this feature. It feels sturdy to me and I wouldn’t be too worried that they would get pushed open. My cat is also pretty mellow though so maybe someone with a more active cat would have some trouble with it, but they seem to stay in place pretty well. Same for the top that opens. I thought I might be worried it could come apart and cause me to drop the carrier, but it seems sturdy the way the pieces all click together. Overall, very happy with this purchase. ... show more

Perfect for my bird! Exactly what I've been looking for! We already have about 3 different carriers that we have tried & are still using, and the top-load 2nd door plus the total ease of assembly (and therefore cleaning) makes this one the hands-down winner. The construction is simple and will be easy to clean, hopefully it will hold up to my parrot's busy beak but thats what toys are for! ... show more

This pet carrier is wonderful and very easy to assemble with clear instructions. We bought the large and I was nervous at first whether it was sturdy enough since my cat is 11lbs, but it’s great. My cat used to hate the soft carry bag we had for her as a kitten. She would get so upset and scared whenever she saw it. We opened this up and put it on the floor with treats the day before her vet trip, and she was skeptical at first. The next day, in she went and while she was a little nervous, she very quickly calmed down. I think she felt secure with the sturdy structure around her as opposed to her previous carrier bag, and the grate in the top allowed her to see us. When we got home from the vet, I let her out and she even started rubbing against it. I couldn’t believe she liked it so much. We now keep it open on the floor as a treat place. It’s easy to get her in and we are pleased that she has a secure carrier she actually likes. ... show more

I ordered those 48 Sporadic Rd. trip that I had to take for a death in the family and I needed my guinea pigs to go with us. It came it’s easy to put together it’s perfect for traveling I was able to hang the water and hey containers on the front door and I was able to use the top door to get them in and out and to check on them on the car ride and it was an 11 hour car ride and it was a complete success 22 hours round-trip no problems with the pigs ... show more

Parts are not to specification. They do not fit together as described in instructions. Top handle to carry the pet is flimsy & wobbles. It is poorly secured at the top & when it comes loose, the pet & carrier falls to the ground hitting the legs & feet of the handler who is carrying it. This lack of a proper carrying handle may also injure those around it as it tumbles to the ground. Personal injury lawsuits are likely to result from using this poorly manufactured carrier to transport live animals. ... show more

It held up to a scared stray cat I was rescuing! The cat was upset but the 2 doors held great until she calmed down. I like that you can open it from the top or front entry. I didn't know how the vet tech would feel more comfortable pulling a stray cat out of a carrier. The instructions could be better. I put the top door on wrong at first and spent time trying to figure out why it wouldn't close properly. I finally figured out my mistake. But overall - very happy with this carrier. ... show more
