I bought this rope to use for some tree work (5/8" x 200'). Before I could do that, I managed to bury my zero-turn mower in the mud near my pond. The area was too soft to move my truck in close, but I had the new rope still in my truck from when it was delivered. From that experience I would note this rope is very flexible and easy to handle for its size. I have not confirmed the length on the spool but will update if the stated length is off. So far it appears to be of good quality. I plan to buy some 3/8" for some other projects.

I'm really not sure about this stuff; it's kind of a mystery to me exactly WHAT it is made of. Personally, I think it's fine for most medium-duty work, but I wouldn't trust it for high loads. I'm using it to secure tarps around the home, and it's great for that. I don't know about the sturdiness/durability, as I have not put it to any test, but I'd expect it to be both sturdy and fairly durable. Definitely a lot sturdier that the "parachute cord" I usually use for such things. It has a funny feel to it, kind of coarse like most polypropylene (eg, ski rope), which usually has a very low resistance to UV exposure over long periods, but it doesn't float like polypropylene does. I'm not sure what " Poly Dacron Rope ...w/Polyolefin Core " means, as "Poly" is the prefix of many polymers, and most ropes are, chemically, polymers. Dacron is a commercial name for polyester, which is sturdy, abrasion resistant, soft, & low stretch. I'm also not sure why they say "Polyolefin core", as this rope has NO core; it's a standard 3-strand lay.

Used it several times to pull some giants over, also used it to pull a stuck bucket truck (16 tons) out of the mud with a log loader (20 tons), 3 points on log loader to 2 points on bucket, and it handled it with ease.

This works great for a climbing rope. The only thing I don’t like about it so far is that it does tend to pick up little things on the ground that it comes in contact with, so I would not use it for other purposes, other than climbing, or indoors only. And by climbing, I mean workout climbing not rock climbing. Mine is outdoors 24 seven and it’s so far held up really really well. I also have an additional 80 feet so if it ever chooses not to hold up I’ll make another one.
