Works well, everything is well made and of high quality. Only gripe is the bar on the yoke is perminant, so it can be difficult to get in tight spots.

You don't need to over tighten this. It holds great. Take your time, file the end of the tubing flat, ream it out properly, lube the fitting with a drop of brake fluid and this tool makes a perfect flare every time.

Received this tool in the mail and attempted to use it. It broke on the 3rd use without making a SINGLE useable double flare. I was wary to buy this tool and thought about purchasing the 200 dollar one to start out with. My experience with this tool will make me wary to EVER buy another ATD tool again. HORRIBLE tool. DO NOT PURCHASE. Go with a different tool. If you're on the brink about buying this tool then please don't buy it. It isn't worth your money. It is a horribly built product and will disappoint you. It worked great for about 10 flares, then the center post of the double flare die broke off and now it collapses every flare. It's now useless.

    • Tool worked fine, but broke after the 8th flare
Tool worked fine, but broke after the 8th flare. The tip of the inserter for the first flare broke off into the brake line on the 8th flare attempt. Luckily, that was the last one and none of the lines appear to be leaking, so it does appear to make good double flares, but clearly the longevity of the product is not very high. ... show more
