    • "Feels" cheaply made
I have an ASUS laptop so I thought this would be a perfect fit. And it worked fine. But, but, somehow I felt it was cheaply made, like it was just a matter of time before it would. I became nervous about that. I shopped around, got a different one in a more rigid casing, and man, what a difference in "feel" I know that is very subjective and had it too short a time to say it was showing signs of breaking. But one thing I did notice. I was burning an audio CD and I heard a sharp pop between tracks 11 and 12. I checked the audio files - - perfect. And the pop was when car CD player was switching tracks. The pop did not occur any other time. And my car CD player never did that since I have had the car for 4 years. Was it the CD itself?? I reburned it on a new CD-R - - ***EXACT SAME POP OCCURED EXACTLY AT SAME PLACE!! ** Bye-bye burner!! Came with good software though. ASUS also makes the cheapest laptop you can find $110! I own it! ... show more

    • may work better with windows, program not max compatible
I bought it as an emergency purchase because I could get it within 20 hours delivery and it filled the void I need it but the program that comes with it is not that compatible and the device itself will not always be a knowledge by the Mac the computer instead of the hub. The cord that comes with it has the additional USB for power supply and it's so short it's just ridiculous. My hub is only 1 foot away from the computer because of the size of this attachment cable and this forces me to have the player right next to the computer as well crowding up my whole area on the left side are the only two ports are on the MacBook. Plus the 5 inch USB attachment forces me to bring my's search protector up here and cram it all into this 1' x 1' space next to the west side of me MacBook and I'm left-handed so this is very much a pain in the ass I had intended to send it back but I left it at my mothers by accident and by the time I got it back in my possession my window had closed that was very much left to trade it in on something that would be more compatible and came with a reasonable length of power cord, or a USB cord long enough that it can attach to my mac And be set aside away From my immediate area and join the surge protector a few feet away ... show more
