  • The perfect laptop for this price
Style: 32GB | 1TB PCIe SSD
The perfect laptop for gaming, business, and entertainment activities. Great battery life, nice and convenient keyboard. The weakest part of this laptop is the screen, it's FullHD but that is perfectly fine for me. Basically, you can run all the newest games, watch movies, browse for more than 6 hours, or use it for development. The best laptop for the money. ... show more

  • Worth Every Penny
Style: 32GB | 1TB PCIe SSD
For the money, it's an amazing deal. Runs great, very light but not flimsy or too fragile. Needed it for video editing and while I haven't gotten to use it yet, I was recommended this laptop for this very reason. Compared to my last laptop I bought in 2010, which was also $1200 that weighted 15 lbs, this is a massive improvement. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP
Style: 32GB | 1TB PCIe SSD
I only bought this laptop around 7 months ago and since then ive been having constant small problems. these small problems have been annoying but not enough to completely ruin the experience, however; recently this laptops GPU has decided to just stop working entirely. I can no longer play any sort of game ever and my entire laptops speed has just went way down. Ive never had any positive experience with this laptop please buy a laptop from a different brand like acer, just not asus. ... show more

  • This laptop is being slept on, specifically when looking for a powerful OLED
Style: 15.6" | i7-12650H | RTX 3060
I bought this back in November 2023 and have loved it since. The only complaint I have is the battery life is pretty weak unless you're doing minor tasks like reading, writing, or playing music which gives me about 7-8hrs on a full charge. If you want to utilize the maximum performance, you have to be tethered to the charger, but if you're just watching videos and doing other light tasks, you'll sit around 2-5hrs at most. These are minor complaints and inconveniences for me, and nothing beats the price with everything else included. It trumps my gaming PC so I imagine I'll be using this for at least the next 4-5 years. ... show more

  • So far ...so good!
Style: 15.6" | i7-12650H | RTX 3060
I really needed an upgrade to my 2015-2016 laptop. The old horse was dependable and powerful, but was starting to show it's age. Despite have the same size screen, the VivoBook is quite a bit smaller in size, I probably could have gotten a 16in. monitor. The OLED panel is bright and a huge improvement, making everything sharp and crystal clear. I'm old and a gamer, so I got a GPU even though I don't really need one for what I do on it(DJing mostly), but I digress, I like versatility. There is still good I/O with 2 USB-A's, 2 USB-C's(one Thunderbolt), an RJ45 Ethernet, HDMI, MicroSD and headphone jack. [Update]Now a couple months in and I still really enjoy it, but it does have some complaints. The small chassis, OLED screen and beefy CPU and GPU kicks out some heat. You may consider the AMD version since their CPU's tend to run a bit cooler. This is not a laptop you will keep on your lap very long. I don't need to push it too hard, so I can't speak on how it will thermal throttle to not cook itself, but I can see where it might be an issue. If you are looking for this to be a heavy gaming or graphics rendering laptop, this probably isn't the best, unless you come up with a way to keep it cool(like a laptop cooler pad or space to breath). It excels at lighter gaming and productivity, is nice to type on, with room to upgrade RAM to 32Gb and Storage space to a 2nd SSD. Not top of the line, but good quality laptop for the price. I also like it's minimal, sleek look ...but it does attract finger smudges. I swear by ASUS, they have yet to do me wrong. Although there are plenty of choices out there, if I see a good ASUS computer, it gets priority(when it doesn't have to, there are plenty of excellent manufacturers). So far, this laptop is great and I'm happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • Great laptop - Vivobook Pro Ryzen 9 7940HS $1,200+tax
Style: 32GB | 1TB PCIe SSD
It has almost everything - excellent Ryzen 7940HS Mobile (4 nano, 8C/16T, 4.0-5.2GHz Turbo), Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, 32GB 5500MHz LPDDR5, 150W, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. I haven't been able to stress it. Yet. I got it two days ago. The "almost" above: One complaint. It has only one USB 3.1 port, wasting a position with a second USB 2.0 port. I bought one for my son a couple of weeks ago. ... show more

  • The screen is the weakest part
Style: 32GB | 1TB PCIe SSD
I bought this without finding any reviews online. Here's my take. This laptop is light, thin and has great battery life with web browsing. It doesn't get too warm with day to day tasks, it can sit on your lap without cooking it which is something many gaming laptops can't do. It charges over usb-c and the 150w power brick (not usb-c) is small. Overall performance is great for the size. Updated Review: Turning off "Smooth edges of images and text" In Windows made a difference in text readability. But the screen is the weakest part. It's "okay." Just bright enough but I wish it was brighter. It's rated at 250 nits (though it feels a bit brighter), at 1920x1080, 45% ntsc. Colors are good enough but aren't amazing. Viewing angles are okay. It's decent and usable, not horrible but I expect better. If you come a laptop with a great screen this will be a noticeable step down. I did get used to it over time but there were times when I was in a bright room that I wished the laptop was just a bit brighter. Response time is fine. The 4060 doesn't have a mux switch and is capped at 80w. Performance was more inline with a higher powered 4050 out of the box. With tweaking you can get it to low-end 4060 levels. ... show more
