  • Great motherboard with 14th gen support out of the box
Style: LGA 1700|12th/13th/14th Gen Size: Z790-A|M.2 x5|WiFi 7|White
Beautiful motherboard that works great with a white build. Built in LED is great quality and motherboard has a fair number of aRGB connections. Worked with my i714700k out of the box with no bios update, though I was also able to easily update it anyways. Bios is easy to navigate and overclocking is also relatively simple. The only negative I would say is the motherboard only has one usb 3.0 connection so if your pc case has multiple usb 3.0 connections you will need to get a pcie usb 3.0 expansion. The motherboard also has a gpu release button which is convenient for larger gpus. My build has a GeForce Aero OC 4090 side mounted which worked flawlessly with this motherboard as well. Another great benefit is the pcie lanes do not get bottlenecks by connecting extra M.2 drives or expansion cards. Motherboard has gen 4 M.2 but not gen5 ... show more

  • Very glad I chose this board over it's predecessor.
Style: LGA 1700|12th/13th/14th Gen Size: Z790-A|M.2 x5|WiFi 7|White
Well, I found this board last minute as it's only been out a few weeks as of writing this. What a difference. Gen5, DDR5, 5 M2 slots, wifi 7? who needs that, you do that's who. I put a 14900KF, deep cool LT720, 2TB Samsung 990, 2x4TB Crucial leaving me with 2 spare M2 slots. My 5600 RAM 24GBx4 worked just fine with XMP. I have an Asus 6e wifi router and with this was actually seeing 750mbps briefly with 250mbps as an average, meaning it's close to ethernet for all practical purposes. For the few bucks extra I'm glad I went this route. UPDATE: Most have issues with stock BIOS. You'll be able to install windows, run programs. But you'll see crashes at times and BSODs. Fix it by updating to BIOS later than May 2024. They restricted the power flow and gave it stability. The unlimited power specs given initially would occasionally overwhelm the system. This pretty much solves that. ... show more

  • So far so good
Style: LGA 1700|12th/13th/14th Gen Size: Z790-A|M.2 x5|WiFi 7|White
Have been using this for a couple of weeks now and so far it is working great. I didn't like being forced to peel off the cover on the adhesive for the m.2 heat sink and install that for both drives. I also had to purchase another PSU because the motherboard requires 2 PSU power connectors for the CPU and I couldn't locate a second CPU cable for the PSU I had as the previous motherboard only required one. If I had taken the time to do more research on this motherboard I could have found that out and ordered the PSU at the same time instead of being forced to buy what was locally on hand. I did go in and do a firmware update on the BIOS after installing. I also had to increase the memory speed in the BIOS manually. Thought initially that I had to manually get the drivers for the board but that turned out to just be an f'ed up Win 11 update that blocked internet access because it detected a VPN. Using it with the Intel 14900K processor. Be aware that Amazon has serious issues with shipping boxes, or in this case, the lack thereof. The motherboard arrived with a label slapped on the motherboard box. It was not even in another box, much less with any padding to prevent damage. Yet they shipped some plastic tubing in a huge box full of padding. Hopefully I won't be needing another any time soon, but if so I will not order it from Amazon since their shipping seems to have gone downhill. The processor did arrive packed in a separate box, but with no padding.... ... show more

  • Should be awesome, but received DOA board.
Style: LGA 1700|12th/13th/14th Gen Size: Z790-A|M.2 x5|WiFi 7|White
Bought this MB back in July to build myself a new gaming computer. Unfortunately it took me a few months to save up for a GPU, but my 4070 TI Super arrived so finally able to set it up. I love the white look which goes perfectly with my white case, and white AIO water cooler. Plenty of I/O ports and built in WiFi are nice. I also like that it has 5 NVMe spots for plenty of storage. The GPU quick release is also very nice. Now for the bad. The MB I was shipped appears to be DOA. I got everything installed, and powered it up. The fans kick on, MB shows it’s getting power with the troubleshooting LEDs, it passes the CPU check, RAM check, Video check, but then gets stuck on the green ‘boot’ LED, and goes no farther. The monitor powers on so it gets a signal, but absolutely nothing appears on screen. No ASUS splash screen, nor does it load into BIOS. So I removed everything and reseated every cable and component to try again. Same thing, stops on the green ‘boot’ LED. So then I tried an i5 CPU with built in graphics, and removed the graphics card (this will rule out the GPU as the issue, and also the Power Supply since it’s using 1/2 the wattage without the beefy GPU), same issue. Tried 2 other sticks of RAM, and 3 other NVMe SSDs to make sure those components were not the issue, same issue. I’ve started the RMA process with ASUS, so I will report back after that process to let everyone know how their customer support is, how long the RMA process takes, and if they are able to resolve the issue. Hoping to come back with good news, and hopefully bump up the star rating, as this should be an amazing board once it is working. ***Update- sent the motherboard back to ASUS, and they found the issue, but want to charge me an extra $45 to fix it. I sent an appeal, but I cannot recommend anything made by the company if they want to rip off customers, to fix their own mistakes.*** ... show more

  • Yes! Extremely nice base for custom build out of (mostly) all-white interior.
Style: LGA 1700|12th/13th/14th Gen Size: Z790-A|M.2 x5|WiFi 7|White
Excellent board base for custom built PC. No noise problems and plenty of space for RAM memory and upgrades. I didn't do the depth of research I perhaps should have, as this board doesn't have the 7.1 speakers plug-ins, but the other identical one does. Still, looks great and everything plugged in without problems. Fit's really nicely with all the other componenets in an all-white interior build, though you might never know it with all those colors going on! ... show more

  • Worked beautifully!
Style: LGA 1700|12th/13th/14th Gen Size: Z790-A|M.2 x5|WiFi 7|White
The product is well made except for the user manual which lacks clarity on two counts - SSD on board installation and Windows 11 installation. Windows 11 did not recognize the built-in LAN adapter so I had to go through some gyrations to install the OS. Layout was well thought out but it was not obvious from the start. I came to the realization that it is important to get contemporaneous computer parts in order for the assembly to work well - for example, new SSD instead of using old SATA drives. But that is my personal preference. It is the first computer I put together where I was, in the end, very satisfied that the disparate parts appeared to have been made for each other. Other components - ASUS ROG Dual 4060 display card, ASUS ROG 850W power supply, Noctua fanless head sink with fan, i9 12900k CPU. The ASUS BIOS had a built-in memory test that brought up the CPU temperature to 70 deg Celsius but not higher. Did not implement overclocking. ... show more

  • Great board, but make sure you know which model you really need
Style: LGA 1700|12th/13th/14th Gen Size: Z790-A|M.2 x5|WiFi 7|White
I purchased this board due to the brand/color wifi 7 etc.. It has plenty of drive support as I have 5 m.2 drives and 2 sata ssds on this board. What I didn't realize is that audio on this mobo was lacking compared to the rest of the models. It only has two audio outputs on the mobo mic and output . I have an older Logitech z 5.1 system and require 3 outputs alone for the speakers which this board doesn't have. (If I would of paid more attention to the other models this wouldn't be an issue). I did buy a new creative sound card for the pcie slot, BUT that slot is un accessible due to video card size (again, I wasn't paying attention). Anyhow, the board is great, wifi 7 and ddr 5 support and it supported the I9-14900k out of the box. No bios update needed. Doesn't look bad in an all-white build. ... show more
