Description

From top to bottom, the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3090 has been radically improved to accommodate the impressive new Ampere chips from NVIDIA and to deliver the next wave of gaming performance innovation to the market. A fresh design and more metal surrounds a grouping of Axial-tech fans. Last gen's uniform fan layout has been usurped by a new rotation scheme and specialized roles for central and auxiliary fans. Below the blades, a larger, more impressive heatsink is ready for the most demanding thermal loads. The PCB has some new tricks up its sleeves, and even the backplate has received some performance- boosting changes. You've been waiting for the latest and greatest in GPU design - and this is it.

  • Pricey but works great.
It's a great GPU but due to the crypto mining craze and everyone wanting to get in on the "lets steal from the gamers" I had to pay 200% over MSRP to get a GPU so I could game. I cannot blame someone who wants to make an extra buck this is ridiculous. "Steal from the poor to we can get richer" is exactly what this is all about. ... show more

  • Love the card.
Seller was great overnighted my card and got it here 5 days early. No problems running anything now! Still hate paying so much over retail but finally have to card I’ve wanted for over a year of waiting. Temps don’t run too high, and it’s quiet for such a big card.

  • Responsive Seller
Graphics card running at 63 degrees C at full capacity before overclocking. Performance is super. Seller is really responsive and transparent about the whole process

  • @Doug Strasburg Re: Card Confusion
I advise purchasing from a Microcenter.com if you are not close to one. These descriptions on eBay, and Amazon are written by vendors who know nothing (usually) about any of the technical specs of the graphics cards they are trying to sell off at the last minute shortly before the new generation of nVidia graphics cards make their debut. The information on licensed retailers is straight from the manufacturers. Although a ROG-Strix card and an EVGA are fitted with the RTX 3090 chipset, the manufacturers are allocated levels of performance by nVidia. Ultimately, you need to research which manufacturer you wish to go with. An Asus TUF card is a mid-range card. whereas an ROG Strix and EVGA FTW3 are higher-end cards. I'm advising either more research, or visit a real computer store with real experts before making your decision. ... show more

  • Card confusion
I hope someone can clarify my confusion. I'm certainly no expert on GPU's, but I thought I put in a fair amount of research before I bought one, and now this makes me want to pull my hair out and go back and look at all those cards again. I found two ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3090 OC cards on Amazon with different memory speeds 1345MHz and 1890MHz. This card is lower than the Asus website shows. I also found an ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3090 without overclock that lists a memory speed nearly 10 times faster at 15000MHz! Am I missing something, or is it a misprint, or is it misleading? I know we live in a world of scalpers, which immediately makes me skeptical. And btw shame on them for doing it, and shame on Amazon for allowing it. Please help before I run out of hair to pull. ... show more
