I am happier with the purchase of this computer then probably any computer I have purchased over the last 20 years… including mac’s and PC’s! I usually have buyers regrets when I buy anything that costs more than $200. 11 months ago I purchased a computer from an big office supply store, I was able to get an amazing deal because it was on sale and I was able to get gift cards at a 20% discount. The problem was that on the specs that the store had listed it stated that the ram could be increased to 16g, from 8. A few months after purchasing the computer I decided to upgrade the ram and was shocked to find out that the was not upgradable. At that moment I went on the website of the office supply store and checked the specs on the computer I had and sure enough it still showed that the ram was able to be upgraded to 16g. I contacted the office supply store as well as the computer manufacturer and both told me i was SOL! I was so upset about this that I have refused to purchase from this store and will never buy a computer from the manufacturer again. I was luckily able to sell that laptop and get back most of what I paid for it. I then went on amazon warehouse and began searching for a laptop. Thats when I found this, and the prices was VERY VERY LOW. Nearly half what it was going for new, it was listed as having a small scratch on the top or the side and that it didnt come with the stickers or the original box. When this thing arrived i was so excited to see that there was NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER, it looked brand new. Everything works perfectly and the biggest surprise was that instead of having 8g of ram as the specs had listed, it had 16g of ram! Literally the opposite of what originally happened to me. This laptop is fabulous. My old laptop was touchscreen and the only time i ever used the touchscreen was when I accidentally would touch it. I had purchased a device that didnt have the screen definition i wanted, it had a slower processor, less ram and a terrible webcam for a computer that has an amazing screen, incredible webcam (that is capable of face id), processor that is double the speed and more ram then i even expected to get. On top of that it has an amazing little touchscreen display that gives me capabilities that I didn’t even know existed. Do yourself a favor and get this computer, unless you want loud speakers because the speakers do suck, but I plug in my desk speakers anyway. 5 stArs! Love it! Highly recommend it!!! ... show more

Like all computers, this laptop has its pros and cons depending on what you are using it for. If you are looking for a good laptop that will be used mostly in one location (at home OR in the office OR at school, etc) this is a fantastic option. The ability to use the tracker as a mini screen can be really useful, the laptop has fantastic processing power and I have not been able to overload it yet despite my HEAVY use of multiple programs at once. The screen itself is fairly large, and the camera and microphone built-in work well for Zoom meetings. If you are looking for something portable, this is probably not the best option. For one, due to its large size, it's just heavy. Despite that, the battery life is pretty terrible. You can extend it if you make sure to put the touchpad in "traditional" mode and bring down the brightness. The size also can make it difficult to sit on small surfaces when in public or to work in your lap if need be. I also have my doubts about the durability of the laptop itself, though I don't know for sure how much is the laptop and how much is me being rough on my equipment. It is not able to be used as a "gaming laptop" for certain games. I tried to play Witcher 2 & it was too laggy to play. In general, I am happy with the laptop. I am a 2nd-year law student (with 1 year completely virtual) and have been pleased with its performance. It isn't perfect but then again neither is any other laptop on the market. ... show more

After initially reliable service, 3-months later, the product would not boot up when turned on. It took 20-30 minutes for something to 'happen'. Internet comments confirmed my issues aren't unique to my system. Additionally, on at least 2 occasions, I noticed the 'MS Word' program slowly dissolve before my eyes during construction of a critical, time-sensitive presentation. However, I was able to retrieve my backup. Although it's still under warranty, I've an important Zoom presentation in about 2-weeks so I can't send it away for diagnostics. This also eats away a month or more of warranty coverage. I use my ASUS VivoBook primarily for word processing, PowerPoint Presentations, and telementalhealth. No fancy gaming or other highly technical applications are utilized. Simply put, this unit FAILS to deliver consistent service. Save your money, buy elsewhere. ... show more
